Con Edison’s award-winning Supplier Diversity Program invites
entrepreneurs and executives to partner with us in mutually beneficial business
relationships. The program serves as a model for other corporations around the country.
As we continue to serve the energy needs of the world’s most dynamic marketplace, we look
forward to expanding our commercial relationships with New York’s vibrant community of
women and minority entrepreneurs and business owners.
To support this effort, the Purchasing department conducts seminars at both Con Edison
and Orange & Rockland for prime contractors and minority- and women-owned businesses,
to describe upcoming business opportunities, to thank prime contractors who have supported
subcontracting efforts, and to encourage contractors to utilize program vendors in their
business ventures. Also as part of the program, Con Edison helps fledgling firms to
define themselves in the marketplace and to expand their services.
Businesses wishing to be considered as vendors for Con Edison may review our
qualification process and complete a vendor qualification
application online.
By doing business with Con Edison, vendors put their companies in a position to capitalize
on numerous opportunities. If a vendor’s company is reliable, efficient, and
customer-focused, Con Edison wants to invite such a vendor to join its family
of suppliers.
Some of the types of businesses with whom the company has contracted include
automotive services and supplies; computer services; construction services;
electrical supplies; general supplies; mechanical supplies; and services and repairs.
