Qualifications: The Treasury Department is seeking a motivated, seasoned team player with the proven ability to adjust to rapid change and multiple demands/shifting priorities to join its team as a Senior Real Estate Representative. To be considered, candidates must demonstrate that they have a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field plus a minimum of 8 years work experience, at least four of which should be in performing financial analyses, discounted cash flow models, and/or reading and negotiating contracts. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint or similar products.
MBA or an advanced degree preferred. Experience in real estate, managing facilities, negotiating contracts, or performing buy vs. lease analyses in order to assess effectiveness of current and planned space allocation a plus. Background in real estate development, brokerage, property management, corporate real estate or real estate finance preferred. Strong presentation skills preferred.
Must be willing and able to travel primarily within the Company’s service territory as required.
Responsibilities: The Senior Real Estate Representative acquires property needed for Con Edison’s purpose through purchase, lease or easement. This position is responsible for disposing surplus land and air rights by sale or lease to realizes a proper return on Con Edison’s investments and to reduce overhead. Provides a high level of service to internal corporate clients by conducting site searches, performing financial analyses and analyzing recommendations for use in the everyday operating functions of the Company. Analyzes and implements policies in the development of the Company’s income producing real estate.
