Candidate must be available to perform off-hour emergency buyer functions, some of which may require working extended or non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays. Has responsibility for achieving corporate savings, budget, and business plan and diversity goals. Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to customer service, the ability to use the internet for communication and research, and the ability to manage multiple projects. The selected candidate must have the ability to effectively interact with various levels of management, union personnel, internal and external customers as well as vendors and outside agencies. Works closely with business users, engineers and EH&S to determine the long-term needs, considers demand reduction opportunities and resolves complex or repetitive commercial issues. Leads the development of category strategies using benchmarks spend analysis and market intelligence. Leads the end to end sourcing process, including developing RFQ’s, supplier bid evaluations, negotiations and supplier relationship management. Manages the supplier relationship management within category of responsibility including supplier development, integration and supplier performance evaluation while promoting company supplier diversity goals. Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) concept improvements to reduce costs. Identify and facilitate the implementation of supply chain process improvement initiatives. Accountable for category savings targets and performance measures. Performs other related assignments as required by Senior Management.

Experience managing suppliers and/or field operations is preferred. Familiarity with Contractor Oversight System is a plus.

All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license. The selected candidate must be able to travel to various Company and supplier locations, some of which may require overnight travel.
