Qualifications: Gas Operations is looking for an Analyst to join its management team. A Bachelor's degree is required with and 2 years of demonstrated proficiency in budgets and accounting. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, resourceful, articulate and demonstrate the ability to work well within a team environment. Must be well organized, detail oriented, and demonstrate the flexibility to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills are necessary, as is the ability to interact with all levels of management. The successful candidate also must be computer literate and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities: Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Assist in monitoring of actual performance against plans on a monthly basis. Assist in the planning, implementing and coordinating of the Organization’s O&M, capital and Human Resources budgets at the section, element and account level. Assist in publishing completed plans in accordance with published guidelines. Assist in preparing in-depth cost analysis and statistical evaluation of monthly O&M and capital expenditures through the use of computer applications in a comprehensive manner to non-accounting oriented personnel, as a means to better monitor costs.

Qualifications: Gas Operations’ Development Lab is interested in hiring a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join its management team. The ideal candidate for this dynamic position must demonstrate a high energy level, understand the vital importance of Commitment to Excellence, and possess a high regard for Con Edison’s Corporate Values and Mission. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal/external customers and agencies and various levels of management. Must be well-organized, detailed oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and technical report writing. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline is required with two or more years related experience. Experience in program development and writing technical reports including system analysis, root cause and failure analysis is desired. Hands-on Gas field experience is desirable. Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes affecting gas operations is preferred. Professional Engineers license is preferable.

Responsibilities: Ensures implementation of company safety, health and environmental programs for employees’ whose work is supervised. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is protected in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations. Initiates and performs engineering analysis and activities to enhance the Development Lab that includes and not limited to: acceptance testing for all new materials and methods; root causes or autopsies of failed materials; emergency field repairs and on-site evaluations of products and methods; speciality PE tapping; fabrication of unique piping configurations; internal camera inspections; investigate new products and methods for improved operations, inspection and maintenance of company and contractor fusion equipment. Will write corresponding engineering/technical reports as required. Initiates and manages gas research and development projects. Ensures all work under his/her direction complies with all Federal, State and Local regulations as well as with company policies and procedures. Will provide expertise in metallurgical/PE and mechanical analyses; NDE techniques; pipe stress analysis; fracture mechanics; fluid mechanics as it relates to the failure analysis and testing of both PE and metal piping, fittings and components in the areas of pressure testing, aging, and overall reliability of all gas equipment. Review vendor PE manufacturing procedures and QA/QC programs for product acceptability. Will oversee the Lab’s testing, repair and inspection of all fusion equipment bi-annually to ensure conformance with company policy. Will provide guidance on all Lab matters and personnel, to ensure that all equipment/materials the Lab examines is compatible with our system, has an extended life span and best integrity factor. Will write and maintain all specification for which the Development Lab is named as the Expert Organization.

This individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to foster a team spirited work environment in support of Con Edison’s Corporate Values and Mission. This individual must be able to balance priorities, handle multiple assignments and take decisive action.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management and union personnel, vendors and contractors. High School diploma or GED required. Must have 5 years overall work experience. Must have at least three years experience in the engineering or operation/maintenance of gas, steam or electric systems. Candidate must demonstrate computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel as well as various company systems. The selected candidate must have a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities: The Field Operations Planner of Gas Operations plans, oversees, and coordinates the daily assignments and activities of Gas Operations field crews. Ensuring that these activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety and environmental instructions and procedures, operating procedures, and engineering plans and specifications, in order to effect the safe, timely, efficient, and reliable installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of the gas distribution system and associated equipment. Ensures compliance with all laws, regulations, Company policies, and appropriate industry standards.

Must have a valid driver’s license. The position requires working in all types of weather when in the field, as well as climbing and working in areas of limited space. Candidate must be able to respond to emergency conditions when called, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Must be willing to work flexible hours.

Qualifications: Gas Operations, Administration and Financial Management, is seeking a well organized, detail oriented, flexible individual with the ability to interact with all levels of management in various operating areas. Must possess strong leadership, communication skills (oral & written) and effective presentation skills. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics required along with a minimum of three years budgetary or finance experience. Must demonstrate solid computer skills including Microsoft Suite products of Excel, Word and Power Point. Must have working knowledge of Con Edison’s General Accounting systems, CARE, IMPROMPTU and units of work philosophy and have experience in the use of work management systems.

Familiarity with Gas Operations and Rate Case preparation experience is a plus.
Supervisory experience is preferred.

Conduct cost analysis to reduce cost and ensure compliance with Corporate Goals and Objectives. Responsible for supporting rate case process: program changes, preparation of exhibits and testimony. Monitors and reports on staffing levels, attrition, EEO statistics and excused time. Work with operating areas to develop and track units of work cost measurements. Monitor and report on KPIs and other performance measures. Monitor and report on purchase order expenditures for Gas Operations and track time-frames on the purchase orders. Notify operating areas on a weekly basis of status of purchase orders. Other duties as required.

Qualifications: Gas Engineering Support Operations is looking to hire a Sr. Analyst to join its technical support team. An Associate’s Degree is required with a minimum of 4+ Years in Information Technology. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; with 1 to 2 years of related experience in information Technology. The selected candidate must possess strong computer troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communications skills are required. Must possess and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of personal computers hardware and software installation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of corporate LAN administration preferred. Gas Operations knowledge preferred. Must be familiar with mainframe applications. Must be proficient in various Microsoft Office suite applications. Must have excellent administrative, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be able to interact successfully with all level of management and union employees. Must be able to adjust to changing needs of the department.

Previous experience in a Help Desk environment, Level 1 or Level 2 Analyst is preferred. Knowledge of database systems is preferred.

Responsibilities: Assist in the coordination of all computer activities for Gas Support Operations. Oversees, coordinates and troubleshoots hardware and software applications. Designs, develops and maintains pc databases and reports. Manage and maintain the Local Area Network for Central Gas Operations. (Maintain user accounts and privileges, ensures daily backup and recovery of files, and install application upgrades.) Assist with Gas Operations data warehousing and Auto CAD system projects. Develop and/or maintain databases, reports and presentations for the operating areas. Maintain accurate inventory of computer and communication equipment. Provide guidance and training on computer hardware, software, and communication equipment. Selected candidate will be responsible for CAD support. The candidate will be responsible for the activities associated with the implementation, integration and maintenance of various mainframe and PC based computer applications currently used by Gas Operations. This includes the testing, training, technical support, hardware deployment, and troubleshooting of any upgrades and expansions as they apply to these computer applications. The candidate will also assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of new computer applications and work management systems for Gas Operations. Assist in supporting Central Gas Operations on long-term projects such as VISION and (GIS) Gas Information Systems and Byers. Provide technical support for communication equipment (RTU’s, Blackberries). Maintain accurate inventory of communication equipment.

Candidate must be willing to work overtime, and respond to off-hour emergencies. Drivers license required. Must be able to drive a company vehicle to any Gas Operations work location.
