Job Requirements: Qualified candidate must have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Technology. In lieu of an Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and two (2) years of equivalent and relevant design work experience will be accepted. The ideal candidate must be dedicated, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and on teams. This individual must have the flexibility to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with personnel on all levels. The candidate must have high computer proficiency with the ability to perform drafting and design utilizing AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Inventor. He or she must have a working knowledge of mechanical design issues associated with electrical substations, electric and steam generating stations, and working groups common to the utility industry (gas operations, electric operations, steam operations, facilities etc.).

The candidate must have the ability to read and interpret architectural design drawings, structural steel drawings, mechanical drawings, piping codes, building codes, welding codes, and associated standards to be able to produce quality design drawings and supporting documentation. Applicant will be responsible for coordinating design work with designers from other design disciplines, engineers, station personnel, in addition to occasionally providing design field support during construction activities. Additional Knowledge of FARO Digitizing arm, Geomagic StudioSoftware (point cloud editing), Mastercam, CNC machining, G-Code programing, REVIT, Solidworks, Catia is A+.

Physical Requirements: Selected candidate must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions. The working environment consists of both office and field (substation, generating station, and all other company locations) settings. The job requires strong manual dexterity. Office work may require periods of prolonged sitting. Field work may require extensive walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and need to work in environments with exposure to noise, heat, confined spaces, heights etc. A valid driver's license is required.

Job Requirements: Successful candidates for this position must be interested in qualifying as Mechanic A's. Must have welding knowledge in API1104 OR B31.1 welding codes or have attended classes in a certified welding school. Must be able to complete and achieve welding qualification in down-hand API1104 and B31.1 welding codes. Must possess burning license and fireguard certification. Must maintain all license certifications. Upon successful completion of welding school, the candidate must be able to fabricate piping from layouts, blueprints and mechanical drawings. Must be able to interpret welding specifications, standards and procedures and work unsupervised to complete assignments. Must be able to perform welding tasks and various mechanical duties on live steam, gas and electric facilities. Must be willing to further welding skills as the need for such welding specifications is required by the department.

Physical Requirements: Selected candidates must be able to work in adverse environments (hot/cold) and confined spaces (tunnels, excavations, generating stations and high structures). Must be able to perform heavy manual labor (push, pull and lift 45 to 60 lbs). Must be clean-shaven and fit tested for full respirator use. Must be willing to work off hour and rotating shifts as needed. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Qualifications: Construction is seeking a highly-motivated, goal-oriented Project Specialist to join the Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) analytics section. The Project Specialist will lead an analytics team that develops and leverages business intelligence tools. To succeed in this position the candidate must demonstrate a positive work ethic in support of the Companyís Corporate Values and Mission. Must have excellent leadership skills, exercise good judgment and render sound business decisions. The candidate must have the ability to evaluate work production, productivity impacts, risk and trends with excellent analytical skills. Successful candidates will possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills. Must have knowledge of the investigative and root cause analysis process. Working knowledge of System & Transmission Operations, Construction, Substation or Steam Operations is an asset. Must demonstrate competency in managing all aspects of project cost controls.

Bachelor degree with 3 years work experience in Utility Operations, Construction or Project Management, Associate degree with 5 years applicable experience or HS/GED diploma with 7 years applicable work experience will be accepted. Strong computer skills are required including proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Windows OS.

Previous experience as Manager or Supervisor responsible for day to day operations is preferred. Experience in Information Technology or Database Management is preferred. Strong background in Electric or Gas construction with knowledge of construction specifications/procedures is also preferred.

Responsibilities: The Project Specialist ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs, and ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. The Project Specialist will provide business intelligence and analysis of quality measures of Construction, Steam Operations, Substation Operations and System & Transmission Operation. Provide direction and control over Senior Analystsí activities that will improve contractor oversight, work practices, contract administrative processes and financial controls. Facilitates briefings and coordinates meetings/activities as needed between the Organizations for the initiation and completion of reviews and action items. Ensure the quality of work generated by the Senior Analyst is high quality. Promote operating areas involvement in self-assessment activities. Directs and oversees the communications channels used by CQA, this includes; SharePoint site, KPIs, Action Tracking Reporting, Risk Assessment Development, status reports, QA Program schedule of reviews. Project Specialist will support data gathering as needed to support the development of trend analysis and quality measures. Participate in various cross-organizational team assessment efforts that seek to improve process and procedures. Promote quality management understanding and self-assessment activities by highlighting successful results found within Central Operations and all of Con Edison. Manage all aspects of presentations and reports, including writing, editing, preparing graphics. Manage the daily activities of CQA and ensure that the staff participates in all activities guided by the expectations written in CQA Standard Operating Procedures.

Position requires a valid driverís license and personal vehicle to travel between various working locations. Position requires walking, standing, and climbing. The work environment consists of office and field visits. Candidate must be physically able to wear the standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). May be required to work off hours including weekends and holidays. Candidate must be able to respond to emergencies if required.

Job Requirements: This position requires a two-year technical degree, preferably in Civil Technology or related disciplines, or equivalent work experience. Successful candidate will have the ability to read and interpret maps and drawings and be capable of operating various survey instruments (total stations, level, M-scopes, etc.). Candidate should also have competency in the use of Auto-Cad in order to generate various types of drawings. Survey Technicians assist Surveyors with mathematical computations and field sketches. Applicant selected for this position must have strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with other departments, including various city and state agencies relative to land records, easement grants, and topographical data. Applicant must have the ability to learn advanced survey and mapping software.

This job requires extensive walking, standing, and stair/ladder climbing. Must be able to push, pull, and lift equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
