Responsibilities: The Candidate should be able to design, develop and maintain the applications using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management suite of products: Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, Essbase, Financial Data Quality Management, Hyperion Strategic Finance, Enterprise Performance Management Architect, Report and Analysis; assist in the migration of application artifacts from development to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments; work closely with System Infrastructure and Database Administrator teams to configure system and troubleshoot performance issues. Selected candidate will also work with the Hyperion Planning business users, DBAs and Oracle to diagnose and solve application errors.
Additional:
The candidate will work with users to prepare requirements analysis for existing or new systems; Develops functional scope and design documentation for enhancements of existing systems; Principal author in development of documentation for larger projects; Drafts test plans. The candidate will design application enhancements and small projects according to departmental standards and write programming specifications based on system design. The selected individual is expected to perform unit, integration and system testing, and set up user acceptance testing. This Application Services’ Systems Manager must be able to travel to various Company locations and external venues for business meetings as required. Must be able to work off-hours, if and, when the need arises. May need to work temporarily in other offices in the service area. Candidate will also be required to support corporate emergencies. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities: The Systems Manager position will supervise a staff of 4 programmers/analysts and 2 contractors in the development and support of the CGI (Logica ARM Suite) and Ventyx (FocalPoint) application suites. The team will be responsible supporting and maintaining 23 application environments spread across a combination of 60 physical and virtual servers. The position will also oversee the management of approximately 200 desktop VMs as well. Specific roles and tasks include: Team and People Management • Manage Work Management System (WMS) Technical Architecture Team resources including vendors and contractors • Plan Tech Arch team work, schedules and deliverables Environment Management • Manage the build of environments as required per WMS projects timeline (including build of new environments, environment refresh, environment re-purpose, and upgrades) • Coordinate environment refreshes with other integrated IR teams (Oracle eBusiness support, PowerPlant) • Manage environment performance (identify performance issues, coordinate resolution of performance issues) • Manage and troubleshoot day to day server and client environment issues Release Management • Develop the WMS Release plan and communicate to project team (IR and business), other IR groups (EBS Support, etc) as well as end users • Manage delivery of releases Migration and Patch Management • Ensure team follows proper version control across all environments • Manage code and configuration migrations performed by the team • Develop vendor software patching plans/strategies for multiple environment stacks and communicate to the WMS project members • Coordinate installation and testing of Microsoft, UNIX/Linux and Oracle patches across environment stacks


The Application Services’ Systems Manager must work closely with business users to develop and define business and system requirements, both short and long-term. Must work with business users to develop strategic multi-year IT plans and coordinate periodic status meetings to update users about ongoing activities. Must also work closely with the Project One, PowerPlant and Customer Project Management System (CPMS) support teams on ongoing system integrations. Must review and develop major project management documents. Must ensure that proper application testing is conducted, per project test plans. Must ensure that the IR Project Management methodology is followed and that all necessary controls for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other requirements are in place. Must manage project/team milestones and costs against project plans and will develop annual budgets and plans as required. Will be responsible for supporting business and SOX-related audits, conducted by internal Auditing and Price Waterhouse. Must make recommendations for improving application design and implementation in light of process changes or changes in the business or technology environment. Must ensure that technology and procedures used in the development and modification of systems meets departmental guidelines and standards and follows procedures and/or good accepted practice. Must take the lead on issues requiring coordination with other departments within Information Resources and other organizations, including vendors, to ensure that issues are handled, sometimes directing team members to do so. Must address organizational issues for staff, facilitating resolution when responsibility is not clear. Responsibilities: The Systems Manager position will supervise a staff of 4 programmers/analysts and 2 contractors in the development and support of the CGI (Logica ARM Suite) and Ventyx (FocalPoint) application suites. The team will be responsible supporting and maintaining 23 application environments spread across a combination of 60 physical and virtual servers. The position will also oversee the management of approximately 200 desktop VMs as well. Specific roles and tasks include: Team and People Management • Manage Work Management System (WMS) Technical Architecture Team resources including vendors and contractors • Plan Tech Arch team work, schedules and deliverables Environment Management • Manage the build of environments as required per WMS projects timeline (including build of new environments, environment refresh, environment re-purpose, and upgrades) • Coordinate environment refreshes with other integrated IR teams (Oracle eBusiness support, PowerPlant) • Manage environment performance (identify performance issues, coordinate resolution of performance issues) • Manage and troubleshoot day to day server and client environment issues Release Management • Develop the WMS Release plan and communicate to project team (IR and business), other IR groups (EBS Support, etc) as well as end users • Manage delivery of releases Migration and Patch Management • Ensure team follows proper version control across all environments • Manage code and configuration migrations performed by the team • Develop vendor software patching plans/strategies for multiple environment stacks and communicate to the WMS project members • Coordinate installation and testing of Microsoft, UNIX/Linux and Oracle patches across environment stacks


The Application Services’ Systems Manager must work closely with business users to develop and define business and system requirements, both short and long-term. Must work with business users to develop strategic multi-year IT plans and coordinate periodic status meetings to update users about ongoing activities. Must also work closely with the Project One, PowerPlant and Customer Project Management System (CPMS) support teams on ongoing system integrations. Must review and develop major project management documents. Must ensure that proper application testing is conducted, per project test plans. Must ensure that the IR Project Management methodology is followed and that all necessary controls for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other requirements are in place. Must manage project/team milestones and costs against project plans and will develop annual budgets and plans as required. Will be responsible for supporting business and SOX-related audits, conducted by internal Auditing and Price Waterhouse. Must make recommendations for improving application design and implementation in light of process changes or changes in the business or technology environment. Must ensure that technology and procedures used in the development and modification of systems meets departmental guidelines and standards and follows procedures and/or good accepted practice. Must take the lead on issues requiring coordination with other departments within Information Resources and other organizations, including vendors, to ensure that issues are handled, sometimes directing team members to do so. Must address organizational issues for staff, facilitating resolution when responsibility is not clear. Must develop staff, ensuring skill development while assuring that work meets requirements and deadlines including time and budget. Must evaluate employees and recommend staffing, training, and salary changes. Must perform other related assignments, as required.

Responsibilities:
The Candidate will have a lead role in the installation, configuration, patching and support/upgrade of the Logica Work management suite of products. This position will oversee a technical Architecture team charged with the promotion of changes and enhancements from development to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments. The selected candidate will work closely with System Assurance and Database Administrator teams to configure system and troubleshoot performance issues. Selected candidate will also work with the Electric business users, DBAs and Logica to diagnose and solve application errors.


The candidate will work with users to prepare requirements analysis for existing or new systems; Develops functional scope and design documentation for enhancements of existing systems; Principal author in development of documentation for larger projects; Drafts test plans. The candidate will design application enhancements and projects according to departmental standards and write programming specifications based on system design. The selected individual is expected to oversee unit, integration and system testing, and set up user acceptance testing. Additional requirements include the ability to develop move strategies, prepare packages for production moves, troubleshoot and resolve production problems, or direct others to either perform or coordinate these activities.
