Qualifications: Business Finance Budgeting and Forecasting is seeking a well-organized, customer focused, flexible individual with the ability to interact with all levels of management in various operating areas. Must possess strong initiative, leadership, communication (oral & written) and effective decision making skills. Additionally, the candidate must be able to multi-task, prioritize actions, meet deadlines and work well in a team environment. • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance. • Minimum of 2 years work experience for the Analyst position and minimum 4 years for the Sr. Analyst position. • At least 2 years direct experience for Analyst or four years direct experience for Sr. Analyst in accounting, financial planning and analysis, corporate budgeting or forecasting • Experience analyzing information, identifying trends, performing budget variance research and preparing associated reports • Excellent working knowledge in creating detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of regulatory accounting, Hyperion Strategic Finance forecasting model and mainframe applications such as Hyperion Planning, Power Plan, Hyperion Financial Management, and ESSBASE is strongly preferred • Candidate must possess strong written and oral communications skills




Responsibilities: This position will provide day to day functional support/system administration of the internal reporting systems that enable management/financial reporting and financial planning, via Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase. • Administer and Maintain Hyperion EPMA and Essbase to support the Planning and Operational Analysis group. This would include maintaining the budgeting and planning apps, update metadata and business rule through EPMA • Maintain Metadata, import and extract data in Essbase Administration Services (EAS) and Work Force Planning. Create custom and complex SmartView ad-hoc reporting and templates for the Budget Analyst and management. Train end users on Hyperion Planning and Hyperion SmartView Add-in. • Administer Hyperion Planning Version 11.1.2.3, Shared Services, Oracle EPMA, Hyperion Workspace, dimension security, data form creation/maintenance/security. • Interact with IT management and other teams at a highly professional and technical level • Manage user expectations and hold weekly or monthly meetings to support budget analyst end users. • Assist with the monthly financial close, annual budget, and quarterly forecast reporting. • Participates in client/project meeting(s) for needs assessment and design review. • Responsible for leading training sessions for end users.

Qualifications: The Reporting and Analytics (R&A) group of the Business Finance organization is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to lead its Analytics section, consisting of a team of financial professionals who develop and integrate proactive approaches to financial planning and analysis, cost management, and the utilization of the Business Intelligence (BI) application and other Finance systems. This includes conducting advanced data management and financial analytics to help improve efficiency, increase productivity, and eliminate waste. The basic objective of the position is to provide effective leadership for the Analytics section, which is responsible for maintaining the Business Intelligence (BI) application and expanding its capabilities; monitoring and facilitating fixes for the financial data architecture in order to maintain data integrity (e.g., BI, Oracle, Logica systems); identifying cross operating group trends, opportunities, and best practices and developing strategies based on them; implementing cross operating group cost benefit analyses; and interpreting changes in business requirements and accounting guidance (e.g., rate case, sales tax). The candidate for this position will take a leadership role in fostering a “culture of financial excellence” in which employees throughout the company seek and accept the responsibility to effectively manage costs.



• The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field. • A Master’s Degree (or in progress) is preferred. • Minimum of eight years of any combination of utility accounting, planning and administration, and budgeting experience is required. • Operations, engineering, and supervisory experience are a plus. • A working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications is required. • The ability to learn and use new systems such as Oracle EBS, Hyperion Planning, Business Intelligence, and Work Management is required. • Experience with BI tools a plus. Special consideration will be given for demonstrated skills with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). • Knowledge of retired legacy systems (e.g., CARE, Impromptu) is a plus. • Familiarity with procurement processes such as purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contract administration, and • Good oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities: The Section Manager will serve as a leader of the Analytics section of the Reporting & Analytics department to provide support to Cost Analysis groups that serve operating and service organizations at CECONY. The leadership responsibilities include establishing targets and goals for the group; determining the financial and human resources required; developing and coaching the cost analysis professionals in their organization. The leader is also responsible for creating a vision and setting a direction for the group; aligning people to assure that all people in the group are moving in the same direction; and motivating and inspiring employees. Maintain Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) application and expand its capabilities. This includes: • Championing and leading the strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of BI applications and platforms; • Deploying and managing in-house reporting tools, modeling metadata, building reports, and administering the platform software, including requirements gathering, data modeling, report creation and automation, and end user education and training; • Ensuring that the use of BI enhances business decision making capabilities across the organization and by senior leadership; • Analyzing business reporting requirements; understanding business data and available tools; • Assessing requirements and proposing reporting solutions; • Identifying opportunities for potential improvements to system functionality and/or business processes including design and recommendations for changes necessary to maintain data integrity for BI reporting; • Leading the design, analytics, and technical solution for data transformation from Oracle EBS and various work management systems into the BI applications; • Creating BI reports and dashboards according to business requirements, ensuring organizational acceptance of tools and delivery; • Working with internal analysts and developers, end users, managers, and outside suppliers to ensure reporting and BI goals are met; • Serving as the liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams on reporting questions. • Candidate must display strong technical knowledge of Oracle BI (i.e. Star schema, briefing books) and Oracle ERP system. Candidate is also responsible for monitoring and facilitating solutions for the financial data architecture in order to maintain data integrity (e.g., BI, Oracle, Work Management Systems); • Identifying cross operating group trends, opportunities, and best practices and develop strategies based on those with the highest potential benefits; • Implementing cross operating group cost benefit analyses; Interpreting changes in business requirements and accounting guidance (e.g., rate case, sales tax); and performing other administrative functions, including: • Providing advice and recommending necessary training to members of the Analytics team; • Planning during ICS and emergency situations; • Serving as an alternate for the Department Manager and Vice President when required for presentations and other tasks; • Performs other tasks as required.

Responsibilities: Under the general direction and supervision of the Director – Financial Budgeting and Forecasting, the Section Manager is responsible for: 1. Oversees the development of models for electric, gas & steam forecasting purposes. 2. Provide development, guidance, and direction for the annual and five-year forecasts for electric, gas & steam delivery volumes and delivery revenue for CECONY and O&R. Communicate with all departments that provide input to obtain sufficient detail for management evaluation. 3. Develops forecasts for electric, gas & steam delivery volumes and delivery revenue for use in the analysis of revenue requirements and rate proceedings, including the preparation of testimony and exhibits, as required. 4. Participates in regulatory proceedings relating to the organization’s responsibilities and expertise; testifies before regulatory hearings on such matters, as required. 5. Oversees the monthly analysis of delivery volumes and revenue data to determine changes, presenting to senior management as required, and performs reconciliations of actual vs. budget and prior year. 6. Manages and updates the company’s weather databases and the periodic updating of normal weather used in the preparation of the electric, gas and steam forecast. 7. Provide input and guidance on new systems and interfaces that may affect budgeting, forecasting and financial calculations. 8. Plan and assign work for the Financial Forecasting analysts who report directly to this individual to maintain schedules and meet target dates as required. 9. Manage all functions assigned: training, directing, disciplining, recommending changes in employee status, maintaining good employee relations in conformity with personal policy. 10. Institute and supervise studies, investigations and the preparation of reports to management as required. 11. Review and provide input on policies and procedures as required. 12. Maintain a good working knowledge of techniques relative to subjects covered in the job duties. 13. Provide overall direction for the Volume and Revenue Forecasting Department and communicate with senior management as required. 14. Develops the professional growth of the department’s staff, provides training, coaching and mentor as necessary to produce a creative and goal oriented organization 15. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
