Qualifications: Construction Management seeks an industrious individual to join its Construction Operation's team as Chief Construction Inspector. The successful candidate will possess strong decision-making skills, flexibility to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Must promote a positive work ethic in support of our Corporate Values and Mission, and be committed to environmental excellence and safety in the workplace. Must possess strong oral, written, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers. Knowledge of operating rules, environmental procedures and safety practices to work in company facilities is required. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years work experience in the construction field or H.S. Diploma/GED and 5 years work experience in the construction field. A thorough knowledge of construction practices, safety and environmental procedures, estimating methods, and contract payment procedures are required. The ability to interpret relevant drawings and specifications is also required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Must be committed to fostering a Zero Accident Culture, Diversity and Inclusion, Achieving Operational Excellence, Developing an effective Cost Management Culture and Enhancing the Customer’s Experience. Must be committed to the Way We Work Principles, and adherence to the Company’s Standards of Business Conduct and other Company procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S).



Working knowledge of Summons, Layout Tracking , POCA and Tableau is preferred.

Responsibilities: The Chief Construction Inspector (CCI) ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations. The CCI supervises the work effort of Construction Representatives and Inspectors engaged in all aspects of contract administration and inspection with an emphasis on CAR/NOV inspections and casting re-grades. Assures that all contractor work is performed in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with established Company standards and specifications. Ensures that the contractor’s methods of work conform to local, state and federal regulations. Assures all contractor work is conducted within the stipulations required by applicable NYC permits, and minimizes quality of life issues for the community we serve. Tracks and controls project costs, ensures work accruals are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Researches new methods of performing work, improving quality and increasing productivity. Is proactive in identifying and addressing process improvements. Complies with the Company’s Equal Employment policies and instructions.

Physical Requirements: Position requires walking, standing, and climbing. Will be required to work various schedules, including weekend and nights. Must be able to work in extreme hot and cold climates. Must be able to respond to emergencies and be medically approved to wear a half face respirator. Position requires a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel between various working locations.



Position requires the transporting and use of a portable computer and other electronic equipment in employee's personal vehicle

Qualifications: Construction Management Gas is looking for a dedicated professional who is highly motivated, resourceful and articulate with a strong commitment to excellence. The candidate must have demonstrated leadership skills, be able to initiate and champion change and have the ability to influence others in order to improve management processes. Candidate must understand the importance of personal accountability. Extensive knowledge of the complexities of Con Edison’s gas system is required. Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet rapidly changing deadlines. Must have a record for driving positive change and strong supervisory skills. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills are required to be able to effectively interact with internal and external customers, support staff, and all levels of management. Must be able to deliver exemplary customer service and develop a team-spirited work environment in support of our Corporate Mission and Values. Candidate must understand Con Edison’s capital, O&M, operating budgets, and the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for construction. Strong computer skills in Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Working knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures related to street construction work is required. Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Gas construction experience or an Associate’s degree with 7 years of Gas construction experience or a High School/GED diploma with 10 years of Gas construction experience is required.

Responsibilities: The Project Specialist (PS) ensures that safe work practices are followed and that environmental issues are managed in accordance with Company policy and government regulations. The PS plans, tracks and manages all workflow associated with gas construction projects issued to Bronx Construction Management. In addition, the PS will act as the primary interface between the Bronx Construction Management Organization and our internal customers. The PS will provide advice, counsel and training to a workforce consisting of Chief Construction Inspectors, Construction Representatives and Inspectors. The PS will be responsible for overseeing planning, construction progress and proper closeout of all gas work associated with the group. The PS will assist the assigned CCI/CR to implement the planned work in a cost-effective, productive manner while insuring quality, safety, and environmental excellence. The PS will provide technical support in the field and in the office concerning gas construction principles and practices. The PS will provide periodic reviews of gas specifications during business and safety meetings as well as keeping the group aware of any specifications changes related to gas construction work. The PS will be responsible to coordinate and monitor the construction management response to system damages, Company emergency work, and safety and environmental emergencies.

Knowledge of construction work practices, permit requirements, and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications as well as working knowledge of MPT standards and the work area protection manual is preferred. Understanding of accruals and financial reporting is preferred. Chosen employees from the union that are promoted must complete the TEAM program.

Responsibilities: The Specialist ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with the company policy and governmental regulations and emergency response (ICS) procedures and protocols. Supervise Union Employees tasked with creating construction work packages and ordering construction permits. Act as a liaison between Con Edison and the public, including municipal officials and internal groups on permit progress and status. Promotes positive customer relations by ensuring the effective implementation, communication and administration of corporate policies, programs, instructions and operating procedures. Develop a relationship with State/County/Municipal agencies and be a point of contact to resolve permit and restoration issues or company compliance issues. Monitor various permit reports. Will be responsible for Westchester permit accruals and permit invoice analysis. Comply with the Company's Equal Employment policies and instructions.



Bachelor’s degree and two years of work experience, Associate’s degree and three years of work experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Core: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle to travel to various locations within the service territory. Reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions if needed. Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) during field visits
