Qualifications: Construction Management seeks an industrious individual to join its Construction Operation's team as a Chief Construction Inspector. The successful candidate will possess strong decision making skills, the flexibility to handle multiple assignments and the ability to meet deadlines. The candidate must promote a positive work ethic in support of our Corporate Values and Mission, and be committed to environmental excellence and safety in the workplace. Must possess strong oral, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers. Knowledge of construction procedures, environmental procedures and safety practices to work in electric structures required. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years work experience in utility construction or engineering. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years work experience in the construction field or H.S. Diploma/GED and 5 years work experience in the construction field. A thorough knowledge of construction practices, safety and environmental procedures, and estimating methods is required. The ability to interpret relevant drawings, electric facility plates and specifications is also required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must be committed to fostering a Zero Accident Culture. Must support Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering Preferred.

Responsibilities: The Chief Construction Inspector (CCI) ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations. The CCI supervises the work effort of Construction Representatives and Inspectors engaged in all aspects of contract administration and inspection with an emphasis on Electric construction projects. Assures that all contractor work is performed in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with established Company standards and specifications. Ensures that the contractor’s methods of work conform to local, state and federal regulations. Assures all contractor work is conducted within the stipulations required by applicable NYC permits, and minimizes quality of life issues for the community we serve. Tracks and controls project costs, ensures work accruals are captured timely and accurately. Researches new methods of performing work, improving quality and increasing productivity. Complies with the Company’s Equal Employment policies and instructions.

Physical Requirements: Position requires walking, standing, and climbing. Will be required to work various schedules, including weekend and nights. Must be able to work in extreme hot and cold climates. Must be able to respond to emergencies and be medically approved to wear a half face respirator. Position requires a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel between various working locations.



Position requires the transporting and use of a portable computer and other electronic equipment in employee’s personal vehicle.
