Qualifications: Gas Engineering is looking to hire a motivated and dynamic individual to join its Gas Control team. Applicants must demonstrate high energy level, and possess a high regard for personal accountability, teamwork, customer focus, Corporate values and commitment to excellence. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with executives and other levels of management, as well as representatives from outside agencies including the PSC. Must be able to render sound business decisions. Must have general knowledge of the gas system (Transmission, Distribution, or Supply Market). Must be proficient in the use of computer applications, such as Word, Excel (or comparable applications), Power Point, and the Internet for performing on-line research. A Bachelor Degree and 2 years of work experience are required.



Applicants with knowledge in natural gas scheduling deliveries, nominations on interstate pipeline websites, and confirmation process are preferred.

Responsibilities: The Analyst will be responsible for assisting Gas Control Operators in maintaining the integrity of the natural gas transmission and distribution system in a safe, reliable and economic manner. This will include maintaining all gas accounting functions, to ensure accuracy of delivered supplies for system operations with respective interstate pipelines, the Company’s Gas Purchasing and Transportation Customers (including electric-steam generation) Sections. Ensure that appropriate gas schedules are in place to provide sufficient gas supplies to meet service area Transmission and Distribution load requirements. On behalf of Gas Control coordinate the Daily Morning Meeting between Gas Control and the Company’s Gas Purchasing Section. Coordinate the various city-gate capacity allocations among the New York Facilities members and third parties delivering gas to the service area. Create daily and ad-hoc reports utilizing Excel and Word. Utilize gas load forecasting models to predict gas loads.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be able to travel within Company service territory, as necessary.

Qualifications: A minimum of an AAS degree in Electrical Technology or a minimum of 2 years equivalent and relevant technical experience and a high school diploma of GED are required for this position. The selected candidate must have a thorough understanding of DC electricity, as well as basic knowledge of AC electricity. This candidate must be able to read electrical schematics, must be proficient in the use of laptop computers, familiar with computer/ laptop technology and must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The work location is: Bronx, NY










Responsibilities:


Physical Requirements: The nature of this job requires extensive walking/climbing/standing and the ability to push/pull/lift equipment and materials 40-60 lbs. in weight. Candidates must be able to work in various weather and station conditions (e.g. extreme heat and noise, confined spaces, etc.) and must be medically qualified to wear a respirator. A valid driver's license is also required.
