Qualifications: QA Engineering and Program Support – Estimating Section, seeks a dedicated, dynamic, and innovative individual to join its’ management team. The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail oriented and possess a Commitment to Excellence while providing exemplary customer service. The individual must demonstrate a high energy level, be well organized, and have the ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities. Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal and decision-making skills are essential. To succeed in this position, the right candidate must be self-motivated, resourceful and articulate. This individual will possess a “can-do” attitude, a clear sense of accountability, and a commitment to environmental excellence and safety in the workplace. The candidate must have experience in engineering, design, and/or construction of substations and or steam generation facilities, OR applicable type experience. Strong oral and written communications skills are required. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people on all levels. Computer and mainframe proficiency is required including knowledge of Microsoft Project, CEES and/or similar computer software program. Preference given to candidates with experience in developing electrical, mechanical and/or civil cost estimates for construction projects at substations and or steam generation facilities, and/or familiarity with engineering, design and construction of substations and steam generation facilities. Required education and work experience are specified as follows:



SPECIALIST (1H): Requires either a Technical or Non Technical Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of applicable work experience. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree with at least 5 years applicable experience or Technical High School Diploma with at least 10 years applicable experience in any of the following areas: power utility or heavy industrial cost estimating experience in at least one discipline (e.g., electrical, civil, mechanical, etc.) with knowledge in other disciplines - transmission, distribution or generation engineering design, - transmission, distribution or generation construction experience. SR. SPECIALIST (2L): requires either a Technical or Non Technical Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of applicable work experience. In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, an Associates Degree with at least 7 years applicable experience, or a Technical High School Diploma with at least 15 years applicable experience in any of the following areas: • power utility or heavy industrial cost estimating experience in at least one discipline (e.g., electrical, civil, mechanical, etc.) with knowledge in other disciplines - transmission, distribution or generation engineering design, - transmission, distribution or generation construction experience.

Responsibilities: Prepares conceptual, authorization and appropriation cost estimates for multidiscipline construction projects. Must be able to develop estimates based on preliminary work scopes, drawings and sketches, while relying on personal experiences and or historical data to fill in missing information. Should have an understanding of the capital budget process and utility economics in the preparation of authorization and appropriation estimates used to obtain project funding approvals. Should be able to contribute to the development of project work scopes during estimate preparation to ensure project constructability and lower costs. Must be able to evaluate alternative designs and contribute to the optimum design selection. Meets with engineering, construction and the user organizations to ensure all aspects of the project have been incorporated in the estimate.


Physical Requirements: Requires a valid drivers license. Must be able to travel to field locations and wear the appropriate PPE as required.

Qualifications: The Quality Engineering & Program Support section within Central Engineering is looking to hire a dedicated professional to join its team. The selected candidate must be committed to delivering exemplary customer service. Must possess strong organizational skills and have the ability to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions. Must be flexible to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities and meet deadlines. Must have a high regard for personal accountability, and understand the critical importance of commitment to excellence. Must demonstrate a high energy level and promote a positive work ethic in support of our corporate values. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively with employees. Requires knowledge of MS Office 2007/10 suite. Experience with MS Office 365 as well as supporting Autodesk suite of product such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, etc. is a plus. Experience with Windows XP/7/8/10 is required. In addition, Windows Scripting, automation and/or computer operations expertise required. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in either Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field Requires a minimum 3 years experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution, and root cause analysis as well as experience in workstation configuration and imaging. Must have working knowledge of Remote Access technologies. In lieu of a Bachelors degree, applicants with an Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, and 5 years of applicable work experience will be accepted.



Prefer experience in network, and computer operations. Should have excellent skills in: troubleshooting and problem resolution; interacting with customers in person and on the telephone; verbal and written communications; and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities: With minimal guidance provides support for all LAN/WAN initiatives for Central Engineering. The System Analyst will assist in the support, diagnosis, and configuring of computer equipment. The candidate will: Image, install, and support Engineering and workstations, laptops, tablets (Surface Pro, Samsung Slate, etc.) and associated equipment. The System Analyst is expected to support and administer Central Engineering’s document and drawing management systems. The System Analyst will work with contracted vendors to resolve Remote Access (CERA) issues. Provides off-hours on-call support when necessary. Escalates problems to resident and industry experts in an expeditious manner. Acts as the liaison between department users and the Help Center in solving trouble tickets. The prospective candidate must also be able to install and troubleshoot software/applications on Central Engineering servers. Maintain up-to-date inventory of all workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, plotters, and peripheral equipment throughout Central Engineering using Computer Cost Central, and Active Directory. Manage projects as assigned by his or her manager. The candidate will be expected to evaluate current systems and applications to provide input in upgrades and enhancements based on new industry standards.


Physical Requirements: Should have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift desktop computers, and bend, stoop, kneel and/or sit for long durations.
