Qualifications: Responsible for assisting in the management, coordination and implementation of the investor relations work plan for Consolidated Edison, Inc. Serves as point of contact for investor issues, including acting as Company spokesperson to the financial community (analysts, portfolio managers, individual investors, etc.). Responsible for the content on the Company’s investor relations web site. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the Company's standing in the financial community and communicating Con Edison’s strengths, performance characteristics and competitive advantages to members of the investment community. Education requirements: Undergraduate degree required preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. MBA a plus.



Candidate must have a minimum of four years of experience in finance-related fields such as investor relations, investment banking, financial research, or financial communications. MBA can substitute for two years of experience. Must have demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess strong analytical skills. Must be self-motivated. Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong critical judgment skills. Must have experience in finance-type assignments and knowledge of financial statements of publically-traded companies. Must have ability to effectively communicate complicated financial concepts to a broad audience of financial and non-financial people.

Responsibilities: Conversant with laws and regulations from the Securities Exchange Commission and New York Stock Exchange concerning corporate governance and full financial disclosure, and ensure compliance. Responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of the Company’s Investor Relations program. Assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Director, Investor Relations during Director’s absence. Responsible for direct supervision and oversight of contracts related to services provided for various functions of the investor relations program. Duties include insuring proper contract management in accordance with Corporate Instructions, Policies and Procedures. Prepares senior management for financial community presentations and provides Q&A based on anticipated questions from the financial community about Company strategy and operational performance. Gathers and continually updates comprehensive, detailed material relating to the Company’s financials, operations and strategies. Interacts with and builds positive relationships with members of the financial community. Responds to and provides timely information to investors and potential investors in accordance with corporate policies and governmental requirements. Successfully represents the Company in a positive and effective manner at analyst conferences, industry meetings, financial seminars, and workshops; exhibiting behavior consistent with the Company’s code of conduct and other policies. Provides senior management with accurate, timely feedback related to discussions with the investment community and investors’ reactions to the Company’s results and business strategies. Remains abreast of and provides timely reports to senior management on industry developments, economic factors and other developments that may impact the Company’s securities. Prepares and distributes internally published research reports on Con Edison from research analysts. Maintains the Company’s Investor Relations website. Gathers necessary information from internal organizations to keep the website content current and pertinent. Reviews and recommends innovative and creative alternatives and solutions that enhance the accessibility of information to website visitors. Prepares and distributes periodic reports to senior management and the Board of Directors on the Company’s stock performance relative to peer companies and pertinent indices. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating meetings between senior management and members of the financial community. Prepares PowerPoint presentations for meetings with the financial community. Prepares speeches for senior executives to deliver to the financial community. Prepare and deliver presentations to internal audiences, e.g. expanded staff meetings, on performance of Company’s securities relative to peers and indexes, Wall Street sentiment, and other relevant and timely topics. Maintains contact with the Company’s assigned representatives at the New York Stock Exchange to access trends and identify aberrations in stock trading. Assist Director of Investor Relations and the Corporate Secretary in meeting with and otherwise communicating with corporate governance officials at institutions with major holdings in the Company’s common stock. Coordinate the Company-wide responses to sustainability surveys in conjunction with Environmental, Health and Safety and other such surveys as appropriate. Participates from time to time in special projects for the Treasurer and the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Must be organized and diligent when managing travel and meetings with senior management; able to handle scheduling changes related to travel and investor meetings. Must strictly adhere to SEC Regulation FD rules regarding and any other such regulations governing the full disclosure of Company information to the public.


Physical Requirements: Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally. Also, must have a valid driver's license.
