Qualifications:



74th Street Generating Station is searching for Instrumentation and Controls Technicians with an AAS degree in Electrical Technology or related field or a HS Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience. Relevant experience may include chemical and power plants, paper mills, refineries, and manufacturing facilities. Individuals with 4 years Nuclear Navy or aircraft controls experience is preferred. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of: industrial instrumentation, water treatment systems, high voltage switchgears, switchyard equipment operation and maintenance, as well as conduit installation practices. The ability to use electrical and electronic test equipment and work as a team member as well as independently is a must.

Responsibilities:



Candidate will be responsible for performing the necessary testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance in a generating location on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic control systems and instrumentation along with ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. Candidate will also handle projects involving the implementation of design changes, major maintenance activities, including fuel systems, chemical treatment systems, and auxiliary equipment systems. Candidates should have strong oral and written communications skills along with the ability to read and understand process and instrument diagrams as well as mechanical and electrical drawings. Comprehensive knowledge of Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controls is preferred. Work location is various locations of New York City and Westchester.

Physical Requirements:

The nature of this job requires extensive walking/climbing/standing and the ability to push/pull/lift equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. in weight. Candidates must be able to work in various weather and station conditions (e.g., heat, noise, confined spaces) and be medically qualified to wear a respirator. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications: Substations Operations Protective Systems Testing in Various Bronx Locations, NY is looking for Electrical Technicians (Local 1-2) to perform testing, troubleshooting and repairs on protective relays and systems, substation equipment, control systems and telephone lines in substations and other field locations. Candidates for this position must possess an Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, or related field of study. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related field of study or candidates having completed two-year United States military academic programs including Nuclear Electronics Technician, Nuclear Electrician, and Aviation Electronics Technician are welcome. Candidate must have a HS Diploma or GED. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical power theory and circuit analysis, including three phase AC power systems, as well as a strong working knowledge of mathematics and the ability to perform calculations involving basic trigonometry and vector analysis. Candidates must have knowledge and experience with computer systems and must be able to use these to perform automated testing, as well as prepare spreadsheets and technical reports. Candidates must also possess excellent verbal and written communications skills. All candidates will be required to pass both a written placement exam and structured interview for the PST Electrical Technician position.




Responsibilities:


Physical Requirements: The nature of this job requires extensive walking, climbing, and standing, and the ability to push, pull, and lift equipment and materials weighing up to 60 lbs. Candidates must be able and willing to work in various weather and station conditions, including heat, noise, and in confined spaces. Candidates must be able and willing to work with, and in the vicinity of high voltage and other high-energy systems. Candidates must also be able and willing to safely climb ladders and work on top of elevated platforms and equipment, as well as in manholes below grade. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle for daily use on Company business is required. This position may require working various shifts and overtime to meet job schedules.

The work schedule for this position maybe Tuesday to Saturday and is subject to change based on departmental needs. The location of job assignments is based on workload within Construction Management in various sections. Inspectors may be subject to re-assignment at any time and work schedules are determined based on departmental needs.






Responsibilities:


Physical Requirements: Valid driver's license is required for this position. Selected candidates must use their personal vehicles and transport, store, and secure company laptop computers and other job related equipment in the vehicle. Reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure. Must be able to do extensive walking, standing, and climbing, as well as work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions. Must be able to respond to emergencies on weekends, off hours, and holidays. Must be medically approved to wear a respirator.

Construction Services is seeking a qualified individual to join our Machine Shop Team as a Millwright. (Machinist) The nature of this job requires an individual to be familiar The duties of this position are: maintenance to machinery and equipment as required, ensuring machinery runs smoothly to enhance daily production levels, evaluating performance of machinery and ordering parts for machinery. Candidate must have a HS Diploma or GED. Candidate must have a valid driver's license.


Responsibilities:



The Millwright must be able to read manuals and specifications, ensure quality workmanship and detailed precise paperwork completed. This position also requires that individual must be competent on all types of precision measuring equipment. In addition, this will require knowledge in the area of troubleshooting, testing, installation and repair. Perform basic and routine maintenance on electrical equipment up to 600 volt. Must be able to inspect machine shop equipment to find root cause of problems and recommend repairs and upgrades. Experience should be based upon hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. Safety is a fundamental of every task. Candidate should have experience with Lock out Tag out and maintain good housekeeping practices. The successful candidate must be a strong team player but also have the ability to work independently. Machine shop experience, mechanical aptitude (five years' experience) and relevant trade certification is preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

1-Selected candidate must be capable of lifting 45-60 pounds, work in confined spaces, possess a valid driver's license. 2-Must be able to walk, climb, and stand extensively, and must be medically approved to wear a respirator and all required protective equipment. 3-Selected candidates must be able to work a rotating shift and may be required to work overtime and off hour shifts, as needed. 4-Must be comfortable with height.Selected candidates must be able to work in adverse environments (hot/cold) and confined spaces (tunnels, excavations, generating stations and high structures).

Must be able to perform heavy manual labor (push, pull and lift 45 to 60 lbs). Must be clean-shaven and fit tested for full respirator use. Must be willing to work off hour and rotating shifts as needed.

Must have welding knowledge in API1104 OR B31.1 welding codes or have attended classes in a certified welding school.
