Qualifications: The newly created Technology Support Group is looking for a dedicated Project Manager to join its team. The Project Manager is responsible to plan, organize and direct all business activities for the work and asset management system implementation within Gas Operations. This includes coordination with Gas Engineering, Gas Operations, Construction, Information Technology and Supply Chain. Additionally the Project Manager will drive the development of project plans, schedules, manage competing priorities and integrate the resources necessary to effectively implement a work resource and asset management system throughout Gas Operations. The successful candidate must possess Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, business or related field with 8 years of related work experience or a Master degree in engineering, business or related field with 6 years of related work experience. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or related discipline. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and possess the ability to render sound business decisions. Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and able to meet deadlines. Must possess superior oral, written and presentation communication skills and be able to effectively interact with customers, support staff, subordinates and various levels of management. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of the gas transmission and distribution systems and associated procedures, specifications and regulations is preferred. Knowledge of the various process, forms and computer systems used by Gas Engineering and Operations is preferred. Experience with project management software/systems is preferred. Project Management certification preferred.




Responsibilities: Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. The Project Manager will fill the role of business lead for the Gas Work and Asset Management system implementation. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation of a large scale technology project impacting the entire Gas Operations organization. This necessitates effective communication with internal and external company and contractor personnel. Ensures business input and deliverables associated with reports, interfaces, conversations and enhancements for the Gas Work and Asset Management System. Conducts and directs project planning and status meetings to ensure schedule and financial adherence to the project are being maintained and significant issues are clearly disseminated to relevant participants. Engages with key contacts from all relevant areas of the business to ensure the system is designed to support their requirements. Responsible to ensure processes and practices evolve as necessary to function cohesively with the new system design and consistent with procedural and regulatory requirements. Provides scheduled updates of each facet of the project to the project steering committee and appropriate Corporate Executives. Acts as a single point of contact for Construction for submittal, review and coordination of required information and documents. Assists the Department Manager with the coordination, preparation and reporting of significant activities on the project. Responsible to manage and professionally develop direct reports and team members. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to work in various field locations.

Qualifications: Strategic Planning is seeking to hire a Project Manager to join its team. Ability to solve complex problems and responsibilities under general but minimal direct supervision is essential . • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, physics, sustainability or environmental science. Master’s degree in a related field preferred. • 8-10 years’ work experience in climate or resiliency related efforts with a minimum of five years in the energy industry. • Previous project management experience including experience assembling and organizing project plans and documentation. • Experience in a consulting environment preferred. • Experience managing a budget and ensuring effective use of funding. • Demonstrated capability to understand the technical issues around climate change and sustainability. • Excellent written and oral communication skills required to clearly and concisely communicate project update to a wide range of audiences. • Self-starter who can drive project workflow and success rather than simply oversee or administer activities. • Ability to lead, manager and participate in multiple teams. • Superior time management skills required to prioritize work load while coordinating with multiple parties and simultaneously managing various phases of the project. • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including supervising, motivating and developing teams. • Ability to make critical decisions and demonstrate sound judgment in diverse project assignments. • Knowledge of computer systems and software programs including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and project management software suites.




Responsibilities: The Program Manager will be responsible for managing our climate resilience and sustainability strategy efforts. Climate resilience will be evaluated through a Climate Change Vulnerability Study. The study will encompass all utilities (electric, gas and steam) and will produce the following key deliverables: • An understanding of the new climate science and anticipated weather conditions • An assessment of the impact of climate change on Con Edison infrastructure • Proposed revisions to equipment design standards, operating processes and prioritized risk mitigation actions The project manager will manage all efforts to complete the Climate Change Vulnerability Study including, but not limited to: a. Provide feedback and direction to consultant(s) b. Work with Company business units to develop a project team c. Coordinate project tasks between the consultant and Company business units d. Manage project deliverable identified in the “purpose” section above e. Communicate the status of the project to all stakeholders as required f. Manage the overall project budget . As sustainability’s role in business success continues to increase, the project manager will also work to ensure that the Company’s sustainability efforts align with our core business strategy. The Project manager will also lead the Strategic Planning effort around sustainability, including but not limited to: a. Ensure alignment between the sustainability strategy and the overall corporate strategy within the area of safety, customer service and operational excellence b. Evaluate sustainability risks and opportunities for Con Edison with a focus on technology, policy and the customer. c. Develop a framework to maintain consistency between business unit programs and sustainability priorities d. Work closely with the sustainability team in the Environment, Health and Safety organization to ensure alignment with Strategic Planning sustainability efforts. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
