Qualifications: Core: Corporate Accounting is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join its General Accounts section. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of CEI, Inc. and subsidiaries financial statements as well as Federal and State regulatory reporting. Duties also include system support and troubleshooting for financial reporting systems. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of three years of accounting experience. Must have excellent communication and analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with others. Proficiency in MS Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook) Additional: Knowledge and experience using the Company’s accounting systems such as the Oracle EBS suite, HFM and Business Intelligence (BI) is strongly preferred.




Responsibilities: Core: The selected individual will perform functions necessary to maintain and update the accounting books and records, prepare journal entries, and assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements for CEI, Inc. and its subsidiaries. In addition, assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual variation analyses of actual versus budget and prior year for all income statement, balance sheet and cash flow accounts. Incumbent will communicate with representatives from affiliated companies. Independently perform research and analyses. Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of various information for reporting, budgets, rate cases, audits and other studies as directed. Perform special projects and other related assignments as needed, for both internal and external contacts.


Physical Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel within the Con Edison service territory as needed. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications: Corporate Accounting seeks to hire a highly motivated individual to join its Regulatory Filings Department. The successful candidate for the Accountant position will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business with a minimum of 2 years of accounting/finance/business experience. Must have excellent communication and analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with others. Proficiency in MS Office products is also required.



Familiarity with utility accounting, the development of rate case revenue requirements, and preparation of rate case exhibits and testimonies are strongly preferred. Knowledge and experience on preparation of financial statements on a regulatory (FERC) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) basis and an overall knowledge of GAAP are preferred. Using Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Business Intelligence, and Oracle Hyperion Financial Management are preferred. CPA license and strong presentation skills are preferred.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will perform functions necessary to create and update rate case exhibits and testimonies in compliance with applicable accounting, tax and regulatory requirements. In addition, may work on the responses to interrogatories from the PSC staff and other interveners. Prepare various accounting or financial related data, analyses, schedules or reports of the Company’s accounts. Under the direction of the accounting supervisor, review work of the group for accuracy and compliance with Company procedures and identifies any problems affecting internal control where applicable. Independently perform research and analyses. Learn new systems and technology as required. Instruct, guide and inform new employees as to the requirements of their assigned jobs. Prepare and/or assist in preparation of various information (data or written) for books, rate cases, audits and other studies as directed. Research and prepare, and/or assist in such, opinions and procedures relative to department responsibilities. Review relative accounting, tax, or regulatory laws, decisions and opinions to keep informed of changes as they apply to position or area of responsibility. Specific functions will vary depending upon the needs of the assigned section.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and be able and willing to travel within the Company's service territory as needed.

The successful candidate for the Accountant position will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business with a minimum of 2-3 years of accounting/finance/audit/business experience. Strong presentation skills. Familiarity with Oracle Financials and Business Intelligence, utility accounting, accounting for derivatives, and the preparation of financial statements on a regulatory (FERC) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) basis and an overall knowledge of GAAP are preferred.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will perform functions necessary to maintain and update the accounting books and records, and prepare various accounting or financial related data such as: journal entry, FERC reporting, account reconciliation, and authority letter. In addition, the candidate will manage the inventory accounting process, to ensure inventory transactions are accurately record in our general ledger and resolves any discrepancy variance between the sub ledgers to the general ledger. Also, he/she may assist the supervisor in the supervision, control and follow-up of other department activities and in his/her absence may supervise union personnel and assist other department personnel as required. Under the direction of the senior accountant or section manager, reviews work of the group for accuracy and compliance with Company procedures and identifies any problems affecting internal control where applicable. Independently performs research and analyses. Assist in operation and control of various department systems/software, including updating, training, maintenance or modifications where applicable. Learn new systems and technology as required. Instruct, guide and inform new employees as to the requirements of their assigned jobs. Has the ability to work with both internal and external auditor for audit inquiry. Review relative accounting, tax, or regulatory laws, decisions and opinions to keep informed of changes as they apply to position or area of responsibility.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and be willing and able to travel to various Consolidated Edison territories. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
