Qualifications:



An AAS degree in Electrical Technology or a minimum of 2 years equivalent and relevant technical experience and a high school diploma or GED are required for this position. The selected candidate must have a thorough understanding of DC electricity, as well as basic knowledge of AC electricity. This candidate must be able to read electrical schematics, must have basic knowledge of computer systems and must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:



The nature of this job requires extensive walking/climbing/standing and the ability to push/pull/lift equipment and materials 40-60 lbs. in weight. Candidates must be able to work in various weather. The candidate must be able to qualify for a CDL class B drivers license and become qualified to test and maintain pole mounted electronic controls from a bucket truck. The group the candidate will be assigned to also performs a wide variety of test and inspections on the distribution system which include Power Quality, Thermographic Surveys.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift, bend, push and pull objects up to 50lbs. Must also have the ability to climb ladders. Must be available for emergency and storm work. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to work overtime and if need be various shifts.

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering with (3) three years of related technical work experience. Or an Associate’s Degree with minimum (4) years of related experience or High School diploma pus (7) years of related technical work experience. Knowledge in the Operation, design, maintenance and restoration of the Electrical distribution system.)Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and experience managing an Operating organization. Must have excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to exercise independent judgment, demonstrate excellent problem solving abilities and be able to render sound business decisions. Candidate must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and be committed to providing exemplary customer service. Must be able to evaluate, prioritize and respond rapidly to changing conditions on the electrical distribution system. Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of the computer related Control Center applications including but not limited toOMS (STAR/Web WorkSpace), WMS (Logica), SCADA (XA21, USA, RealFlex) and Feeder Apps (such as Feeder Board, Outage Scheduling, NetRMS and Rapid Restore. Must have a thorough knowledge and technical experience in the design, operation, repair, and safe restoration of the electric distribution system. Must have an excellent working knowledge of the Con Edison's "General Instructions Governing Work On System Electrical Equipment" and the appropriate Engineering Instructions and Engineering Orders. Must have extensive knowledge of all related safety and environmental procedures.



One to three years of supervisory experience is preferred. Selection is based on departmental interview, entry level testing, psychological interview and background check.

Responsibilities: The OGS will ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Supervise, dispatch and coordinate all subordinate titled personnel in the repair and restoration of underground high-tension conductors and equipment on the electric distribution system. Controls and documents all work related activities on high tension feeders by permitting only authorized personnel to sign off feeder assignments. The OGS coordinates feeder work as directed by the District Operator (DO) in conjunction with feeder Control representative manual, notifies all company departments and/or outside agencies as required by procedures during emergency conditions and as needed. Directs and monitors switching on 4Kv and 13Kvoverhead and underground distribution system facilities using Control Center applications such as Supervisor Control/Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Outage Management. Communicates coordinates and controls standards, measurement, procedures for supervisor and subordinate titles to effect safe and efficient work practices. Administers and communicates operating procedures and engineering plans and specs to personal to ensure proper operations repair and restoration of underground conductors, devices and equipment 12.Prepares reports and updates applications associated with banks off, shunts, bridges, C and D Faults, etc. Responsible for the repair and restoration of underground high tension conductors, services and devices to ensure the safety of all crews and in compliance with procedures, engineering plans and specs. Enforces Company procedures and personal policies and practices. Plans, organizes, schedules and assigns supervisory personal and their crews to optimize productivity and meet operating and system conditions. Monitors activities of al underground construction and cable crews during the off watch. Enforces Company policies and procedures relating to EEO, Chemical Substance Abuse, Discipline, Security, Productivity and Environmental. Reviews and implements System Operations, Distribution Services and other company polices and directives. Supervise the Senior Office Assistant in drawing emergency layouts associated with repair, reliability and removal of defective cable splices and troubles feeders During storms and heat events, may provide assistance in trouble and emergency repair. May perform other related assigns as needed


Physical Requirements: Must work rotating shift, must have a valid driver’s license and must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.

The Specialist will query and analyze data from multiple systems and databases such as Logica, CPMS, Layout Tracking, Visions, ProjectWise, PASS, and the Summons system to develop reports to provide tools to all levels of management to aid in their decision making in various aspects of the business including compliance, cost management, the customer experience and operational excellence. Information Technology seeks to hire a dedicated professional who is highly motivated and committed to exemplary customer service to join the Distribution Control Center Support team within its Business Systems Delivery group supporting cyber security initiatives and incident response. The position offers the opportunity to attend technical and leadership training, while the team endeavors to provide an open environment for questions and feedback and strongly encourages the development and growth of our employees. For the System Analyst: Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer or a related discipline with at least 2 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology, preferably cyber security, or an Associate’s degree and technical certification with at least 4 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology, preferably cyber security. For the Sr. System Analyst: Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline with an Information Technology focus with at least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in a related Information Technology field or an Associate’s degree and relevant technical certification with at least 5 years of demonstrated work experience in a related Information Technology field. Successful candidates should have excellent analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills, be detail oriented and be able to work independently, multitasking as needed to address multiple assignments and deadlines. The ability to interact with all levels of management is essential for this position. The candidate will need to have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, outside vendors and various levels of management, strong technical skills across cyber security technologies and experience working with information security frameworks. Scripting skills, knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems, malware detection systems, content monitoring and data protection systems and Security Event Management to correlate various sources of security alerts is also required. This role also requires 24/7 availability and to be participate in off-hour emergency response activities as required. All employees must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability and willingness to travel within the CECONY service territory as required Candidate should be flexible and willing to work off hours as required to install product upgrades, support production problems or respond to corporate emergencies and may need to report to other offices within the service territory.



Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Business Administration is a plus. Technical certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CIPP, etc.) are preferred. Knowledge of the following is preferred: Basic Windows, Linux, and Unix system administration, TCP/IP networking and understanding of traffic flows, and VMWare virtualization, Active Directory Security Policies, LDAP, MS Office. Intrusion detection/prevention systems, web application/database firewall systems and Splunk experience preferred. Must demonstrate ability to work in teams in a manner consistent with Company objectives.

Responsibilities: 1. Prepare standards based documents for the installation of computing or communications components to support Con Edison’s information and communications network infrastructure. 2. Prepare standards-based, detailed bid specifications for the installation of computing and communications related network equipment to support Con Edison’s information network infrastructure. Assist with the technical evaluations of contractor proposals, software, or hardware. 3. Lead technical evaluations of contractor proposals, software, or hardware. 4. Lead project to deploy various cybersecurity tools. Once deployed, become the technical lead in supporting the tools. 5. Provide guidance and consulting on cybersecurity technology and solutions. 6. Perform internal vulnerability assessments and ensure remediation of vulnerabilities for business process area infrastructure and web applications. 7. Support incident response activities. Support as a member, the Control Center Automation and Technologies Team (CCATT) through forensics analysis of systems, malware, or network. 9.
