Qualifications: The Demonstration Projects section of Distribution Resource Integration is seeking a dedicated professional for its management team. The individual must demonstrate a high regard for personal accountability and commitment to delivering innovative products and services to our customers in a competitive environment. The Demonstration Project team is developing a portfolio of projects seeking new business opportunities and customer engagement strategies in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, deployment of new technologies such as storage and advanced distribution management systems, accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles across the transportation sector, improving access to renewables and distributed resources for low-income customers and development of new service offerings for customers. In this role, the Project Specialist will lead the development and execution of a project(s) focused on increasing plug-in electric vehicle penetration in the service territory, creating benefits for customers by optimizing the utilization of the electric infrastructure and maximizing third party investments to enhance the Company’s efforts in the electric vehicle space. The Project Specialist will oversee all aspects of the projects from ideation through execution and evaluation. Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a degree in business, engineering, or information technology preferred. MBA preferred. 5 to 8 years’ experience in a related field. Demonstrated work performing independent, rigorous research within a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment is preferred. Demonstrated experience analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information. Demonstrated work experience managing large 3rd party service provider contracts. Working knowledge of regulatory processes such as preparation of rate proceedings, responding to commission orders and responses to interrogatories preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers, developers, energy service providers, regulators, Governor’s office personnel, and all levels of management. Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Must have a working knowledge of Company operations and policies. Demonstrated experience analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information. Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills are essential. Strong and proven analytical skills required, including strength/experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.




Responsibilities: The Project Specialist will: Lead the development and execution of Demonstration Project(s) that advance the goals of REV and align with the Company’s long-term strategic interests, Provide support to team members to ensure successful implementation of the portfolio of Demonstration Projects, Manage relationships with consultants and 3rd party partners to ensure successful project outcomes, Develop relationships with customers, alternative energy providers, and internal business units to identify new business opportunities, including new revenue models, that advance the Company’s position, Participate on various cross-functional teams which influence and identify new business solutions and other interfacing departments to adhere to all requirements and time schedules for the completion of REV related work, Communicate scope and objectives of demonstration project(s) to various internal and external stakeholders including senior management, community organizations and stakeholder groups, all impacted working groups and other NYPSC REV working groups and policy makers, Evaluate regulatory commission statements, recommendation, rulings as well as stakeholder comment filings related to REV to evaluate impact and inform approach to Demonstration Projects, Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions, reports and interrogatory responses in REV regulatory proceedings and rate cases, Represent the Company at industry conferences and meetings with external stakeholders related to the development and execution of REV Demonstration Projects, Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and willing to travel within the Company service territory as needed. Must be able to participate in the Company emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
