Qualifications: Candidates must be full-time students enrolled in a graduate program, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or greater and currently pursuing a MPA or MBA degree. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and be flexible in meeting assignments. Strong interpersonal skills and a high energy level are required. Proficiency with a variety of software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is also required. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, with a high level of integrity, initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity. Candidates must also: • Exhibit a commitment to public service and an interest in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector • Possesses strong communication and organizational skills • Be able to work independently and manage time effectively • Have demonstrated analytical and research skills




Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities/Specific Work Skills and functions to be performed: • Support Con Edison’s charitable contributions program, managing aspects of the online grant making and reporting system, communicating with grantees, and attending site visits. • Support Con Edison’s employee engagement programs, including the corporate volunteer program and job shadow program. • Provide assistance with Con Edison’s government relations activities, including policy writing and administrative support for the company’s PAC. • Undertake research on a range of topics related to the New York City philanthropic landscape. • Provide general administrative and event support. Coop interns work 10 to 20 hours during the school year.
