Qualifications: BS in Engineering required, in lieu of degree, HS/GED with five years or AA with three years in-depth work experience in the field of a Power Generation or related industries. These would include, but not limited to work experience in facilities such as fossil/nuclear power plants, industrial plants, steam boiler/engine rooms, oil refineries, combustion turbine facilities, ship yards, airline maintenance facilities, etc. Significant experience working on various types of mechanical equipment is required. Candidate must have basic knowledge of PC computer systems. An Associate Applied Science technical degree or equivalent is desirable. Experience in maintaining, repairing and installing power piping systems, associated valves, tanks and vessels and various types of rotating mechanical equipment such as fans, blowers, pumps, motors, etc. is required. All applicants must know how to use various field power tools and precision measuring equipment. A basic working knowledge is required in the following areas: confined space entry, basic pumps, coupling alignment, bearing maintenance, pipe fitting, oxy-acetylene torch cutting, rigging, scaffolding, mechanical drawing, boiler tube repair, math and industrial safety. In addition, a basic working knowledge in the following areas of expertise is preferred: machine shop, conduit bending, basic electricity, skyclimber / hanging platforms, crane operation and welding (GTAW, SMAW). Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED. The work location for this position is: Manhattan, NY



Additional:

Estimate manpower resources, materials, special tools and equipment required to perform corrective and preventative maintenance of power plant equipment and piping systems. Develop job plans as required to complete each job in an effective and timely manner. Candidate will originate purchase and class/stock orders and will follow up on the status of those orders. Assure that all work orders and equipment history are entered in the required computer systems. Consult and review technical manuals, instruction books, prints, sketches, manufacturer's catalogs, equipment history records and other references for specifications and performance information to assist in planning process. Identify spare parts and equipment located in various storerooms for use in field repairs. Work with EH&S, Engineering and other Departments, as necessary, to gather information to be used in Job Plans. May perform special job related assignments and studies as required. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license.
















Responsibilities:


Physical Requirements: The selected candidate must be able to perform heavy manual labor (push, pull and lift 45-60 lbs.) and to do extensive walking, standing and climbing. Candidates must be willing to work in a physically demanding work environment (i.e., work in all weather conditions, in confined spaces and in hot and cold ambient temperatures). Candidates must be clean shaven and medically approved to wear a respirator to include fit testing for 1/2 face, full face and SCBA respirator use. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. This position may involve working back shifts, overtime and weekends as required to support station operation.

Qualifications: 74th Street Steam Complex is looking for Senior Specialist with knowledge of material procurement, outage coordination, technical report writing, scheduling, blueprint drawing interpretation, purchasing, power plants, maintenance, etc. Knowledge of PC/mainframe systems, strong communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team required. It will be expected that the individual will network with a number of levels of management, union , and outside contractors to ensure efficient operations. A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years’ relevant experience in power plant environment and demonstrated value added accomplishments in multiple organizations is required; 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.




Responsibilities: The Senior Specialist at 74th Street STEAM Complex will maintain the integrity of the Contractor Admin Process, plans and directs all major overhauls, station outages and low frequency PMs. He/she will be responsible for Maximo and Engage (E-Plan, DATA Splice, and Maintenance Technical Library) along with other administrative and training functions in various computer applications. Various meetings will be conducted as necessary to facilitate activities in the Complex to ensure compliance and cost management.


Physical Requirements: Selected candidate must be capable of working in various indoor and outdoor power plant conditions (i.e., in extreme heat and noise, in confined spaces, at high elevations). The selected candidate must be able to walk/climb/stand extensively, must obtain a TWIC in a reasonable time frame, must possess a valid driver’s license, and must be medically approved to wear a respirator. The selected candidate must be available to work varying hours and schedules to support the station operational needs.

Qualifications: The 74th Street Station seeks to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join its Operation Management team as the Fuel Oil Pipeline Compliance Supervisor. The successful candidate must promote a team-spirited work environment in support of the Company’s Values and Mission as well as the principles of The Way We Work. The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and must be able to effectively interact with various company departments and outside regulatory agencies in a positive and constructive manner at all levels. S/he must have strong analytical and computer skills. Must be flexible in handling multiple work assignments, changing priorities, and different work schedules in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines. The successful candidate must be able to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions related to operation and maintenance of a regulated fuel oil pipeline in accordance with USDOT regulations. The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, an Applied Science, or a related field, with 3 years applicable work experience, or an Associate’s degree in a related field to those above with 5 years applicable work experience.



3+ years' supervisory or demonstrated team leadership experience preferred. USCG Third Assistant Engineer and/or NYC Stationary Engineers License preferred.

Responsibilities: The Fuel Oil Pipeline Compliance Supervisor will be responsible to conduct and track various regulatory compliance areas for Con Edison’s fuel oil pipeline #2 (FOPL2) according to Federal (PHMSA) and State (PSC) regulations. S/he will conduct monthly right of way (ROW) inspections and pressure decay tests with station and company personnel, work with TransCanada-Ethos Energy, Gas-Tunnel Maintenance, and Central Engineering personnel with managing the operation and maintenance of the fuel oil pipeline. The Pipeline Compliance Supervisor will obtain and retain documentation for the following areas of concern-Fuel Oil Leak Detection (FOLD) system, Atmospheric Corrosion Inspections, Integrity Management Plan (IMP), Cathodic Protection (CP), Public Awareness Plan (PAP), Control Room Management (CRM) Plan, FOPL2 Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manual, and Damage Prevention Program (DPP). S/he will work with the station Operations Trainer to maintain the Operator Qualification (OQ) program; written material and annual operator testing, schedule EH&S quarterly, semi-annual, and annual deployment drills. The successful candidate will conduct monthly meetings with the different operating groups and issue reports that review compliance with regulations, company procedures, and specifications to PHMSA, NYSPSC, and FDNY-Bulk Oil groups. The successful candidate will also investigate incidents, review repair/maintenance plans, and mitigate potential violations of internal requirements (CEO Compliance) as well as Federal, State, and City Codes while providing recommendations for corrective actions, as necessary. S/he will review proposed specification changes for adherence to procedures and code compliance. The Pipeline Compliance Supervisor will also recommend and/or review any upgrades or planned modifications to the FOPL2 infrastructure; piping, pumps, metering, SCADA system and fiber optic communications system.



Supervision of operations personnel during pipeline operations activities and tests, and coordination of activities at the Ravenswood Steam Station, Ravenswood TransCanada, and 74th St Station as needed in support of FOPL2 and the Ravenswood Steam Station.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to visit field sites in all types of weather and be available for weekend inspections. Must be physically able to inspect the fuel oil pipeline within the company facilities; 74th st station, Ravenswood tunnel, and along the ROWs and able to climb emergency ladders for evacuation purposes. Must be available for on-call duty during emergency operation related to EH&S conditions. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able and willing to travel within the company's service territory.



Candidate will be required to be respirator fit and capable to use an SCBA or other respirator protection
