Qualifications: Steam Services, Steam Operations Planning is seeking an individual who will conduct comprehensive studies and analyses in support of Steam Operations’ goals of providing reliable and environmentally sound service at a reasonable cost The person performing this role will independently prepare the outage schedule, maintain Steam MIMIC, develop operating plans, conduct the Economic Ranking, prepare presentations and testimony, representing the section at meetings with inside and outside stakeholders, as well as acting as a mentor by teaching other members of the team as well as hosting GOLD associates. Senior Planning Analyst: (2H) Requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance and a minimum of 5 years work experience in steam and or gas operations, planning, commodities, and or engineering in a technical and analytic capacity. A Masters in Engineering, Business, or Finance preferred. Senior Analyst: (2L) Requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance and a minimum of 3 years work experience in steam and or gas operations, planning, commodities, and or engineering in a technical and analytic capacity. Analyst: (1H) Requires a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance and a minimum of 2 years work experience in steam and or gas operations, planning, commodities, and or engineering in a technical and analytic capacity. Proficiency in computer applications Word, Excel, Power Point, and knowledge of the Plant Information program (“PI”) is required; must have the ability to cross reference reports for discrepancies and resolution with these programs. Must have knowledge of power plant equipment and basic financial concepts. Must have proven technical and analytical capabilities.




Responsibilities: The position will maintain the outage schedules, perform technical and economic forecasts for the production and purchase of steam, maintain and upgrade the Steam MIMIC system, prepare testimony for regulatory proceedings, track risk items for Steam Operations, and contribute to developing operating plans to assure reliable service at reasonable costs while complying with applicable regulations. The position will liaison with Energy Management, System Operations, Corporate EH&S, Steam Business Development, Long Range Planning, and Strategic Planning. The position will also assist with preparedness and support for Steam’s responses to corporate emergencies, rain/storm events, and oil spills.


Physical Requirements: A valid driver’s license is preferred. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory as needed.

Qualifications:



74th Street Generating Station is searching for Instrumentation and Controls Technicians with an AAS degree in Electrical Technology or related field or a HS Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience. Relevant experience may include chemical and power plants, paper mills, refineries, and manufacturing facilities. Individuals with 4 years Nuclear Navy or aircraft controls experience is preferred. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of: industrial instrumentation, water treatment systems, high voltage switchgears, switchyard equipment operation and maintenance, as well as conduit installation practices. The ability to use electrical and electronic test equipment and work as a team member as well as independently is a must.

Responsibilities:



Candidate will be responsible for performing the necessary testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance in a generating location on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic control systems and instrumentation along with ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. Candidate will also handle projects involving the implementation of design changes, major maintenance activities, including fuel systems, chemical treatment systems, and auxiliary equipment systems. Candidates should have strong oral and written communications skills along with the ability to read and understand process and instrument diagrams as well as mechanical and electrical drawings. Comprehensive knowledge of Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controls is preferred. Work location is various locations of New York City and Westchester.

Physical Requirements:

The nature of this job requires extensive walking/climbing/standing and the ability to push/pull/lift equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. in weight. Candidates must be able to work in various weather and station conditions (e.g., heat, noise, confined spaces) and be medically qualified to wear a respirator. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications: East River’s Steam Technical Services Group is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Senior Specialist. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the compliance programs within the Technical Services Department. The Senior Specialist will play a key role with both the NERC and I&C compliance system to ensure that equipment preventative maintenance is being performed on time and all evidence is complete and properly documented. This will include instrumentation, relay and battery compliance, as well as turbine, generator, and boiler trip checks. This individual will be responsible for the scheduling and coordinating of all departmental training to ensure all employee qualifications are maintained up to date. They will facilitate the periodic review of COPS, StOPs, PM job plans, and station procedures to ensure the continued satisfaction to the applicable regulations. They will develop & maintain the departmental website. The website will house all department level KPI information and back up data. They will develop & Maintain accuracy of Technical Administrative Directives and other department level Procedures at East River Station. Bachelor’s Degree with 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience is required, Degree in Engineering is preferred. Experience in power plants is preferred Must have experience with regularity compliance and NERC standards. Must have the ability to bring work groups together and function as a team leader. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Should have experience with the eTrain system and maintaining training compliance. MAXIMO, Engage, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel experience strongly preferred.




Responsibilities: The Senior Specialist will be responsible for expanding, updating, and maintaining the departmental website; to include all department KPIs, TADs, and links to compliance regulations and evidence documents. Maintain, track and update technical databases. Facilitate the periodic review of COPS, StOPs, PM Job plans, and station procedures to ensure the continued satisfaction to the applicable guiding regulations/requirements. Serve as the departmental training coordinator. Plan, coordinate and schedule all departmental block, regulatory, and DOJT training to ensure maintained training compliance. Evaluate the training needs of departmental employees and establish appropriate courses to focus on areas where training is required. Responsible for the review of the compliance system to ensure that equipment preventative maintenance is being performed properly and on time, with all required data being captured and evidence stored properly. Develop, implement and maintain departmental procedures. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be capable of working in various indoor and outdoor power plant conditions (i.e., in extreme heat and noise, in confined spaces, at high elevations). Must be available to work varying hours and schedules to support the station operational needs.
