Qualifications: The Delivery Channel Management section of Energy Efficiency and Demand Management is seeking a dedicated professional for its management team. The Manager (Program) is responsible for managing the Company’s energy efficiency, demand management, or demand response program(s) and oversees the design, operations, administration, budget, marketing, performance analysis, reporting, process improvement, and customer and stakeholder engagement. The Manager is responsible for overall implementation and performance of the program(s) to achieve energy savings and demand reduction targets for the Company. The Manager may direct the program’s processes, functions, internal program team, processes and functions and/or contractor(s) responsible for the implementation of the program(s).

Required Skillsets/Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree


A minimum of five years of work experience in leadership/ management roles


Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to drive results through collaboration with stakeholders


Strong oral and written communication skills


Sound logic and analytical skills


Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture as well as attention to detail


Ability to make decisions in real-time, under pressure


Flexibility to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic environment


Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)


Experience or knowledge in energy efficiency technologies is helpful




Preferred Skillsets/Qualifications:


MBA or Master’s degree


Degree in Business Administration or Management, Economics, IT, or related field


5 + years of work experience in energy efficiency, demand management, demand response or other competitive, market driven utility programs, including project and process management experience


Experience managing relationships with partners and contractors


Public speaking experience and technical writing skills


Knowledge of IT projects

Oversee operational aspects of energy efficiency, demand management and demand response programs including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing resources needed to achieve energy savings goals.


Oversee administrative aspects of these programs including program design, customer enrollments, budget, and timely and accurate incentive payments and reporting.


Monitor, analyze and report on program performance.


Manage employees and/or contractors and facilitate ongoing development and training of these resources.


Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize benefits to the Company.


Oversee the growth of the program(s) through such activities as marketing, training, and communications with customers and market partners and the development of innovative program design solutions.


Speak publicly on behalf of energy efficiency, demand management and demand response initiatives.


Manage software used to administer and operate the programs and oversee data management and quality control.


Ensure exceptional customer service.


Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.



Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required.

Qualifications: Energy Efficiency & Demand is seeking to hire a dedicated professional to expand its management team in the Market Research section. The utility industry is beginning to undergo a transformation that will set its course for the next century, and it is an exciting time to view this transformation from an up-close and personal perspective. A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position; preferred in statistics, marketing, economics, energy or related field. An MBA or related Master’s degree preferred. The successful candidate must have a minimum of five years of business experience in market research or related field. A minimum of three years of experience with a Master’s Degree. Experience in research strategy, research design, survey research, sampling design, and project management experience a strong plus. Experience collecting, organizing, and interpreting data a plus. The successful candidate must possess strong computer, technical, and analytical skills. Very strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) are required. Public speaking and presentation experience and skills a plus. Strong Excel skills are required. Quantitative research skills and experience using statistical analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS or equivalent to develop cross-tabs and ad hoc tables a plus.




Responsibilities: The Senior Specialist will design, develop, implement, and manage market research studies for use in better understanding electric and gas customers for the benefit of the company, organization, and department – with a particular focus on improving energy efficiency and demand management programs. Will manage and contribute to the existing ongoing research studies such as customer satisfaction and awareness studies. Contribute to design research strategies, surveys, and sampling plans. The Senior Specialist will create, maintain, and update executive briefing documents and presentations on key projects and activities. Assist in management of relationships with other departments that require research and data assistance as well as provide direct research and data support. Maintain and update market research databases – including links to other company data sources – to enable more in depth and robust views of customers, including demographic and census data. Will use research results and data to provide actionable recommendations to company organization, and department teams and programs on an ongoing and ad hoc basis. Manage and build relationships with existing vendors and consultants that provided research and data support. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for identifying, selecting, hiring, onboarding, and managing vendors and consultants as required for market research and data projects. Develop project proposals including RFP development and Purchasing processes management. Perform all project management responsibilities for assigned market research and data projects. Identify and recommend new market research tools or techniques that could improve timing and impact of results. Identify and recommend new data sources or databases that could improve research and analytics projects. Contribute to short-term and long-term plans for identifying needed research project and data sources. Maintain up-to-date awareness and knowledge of relevant market, energy, utility and technology trends. Perform other tasks and assignments as required.

Qualifications: This Senior Analyst in the Strategic Services group will support the energy efficiency and demand management programs by developing annual budgets, reviewing monthly forecasts and performing variance analysis. The Senior Analyst supports key strategic and tactical decision making within the department and help drive effective results through sound financial analysis. The Senior Analyst interacts with all levels of management and helps to build consensus among different groups and stakeholders. Required Skillsets/Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics or related fields.

Three – five years related accounting or financial planning and analysis experience


Experience in financial modeling with a solid understanding of financial and accounting principles


Experience with internal and external financial reporting


Experience with strategic planning, budgeting or forecasting functions


Experience in reviewing, documenting, developing, and executing internal control processes


Proven analytical ability and problem solving skills


Excellent oral, presentation and written communications skills


Must be highly motivated, organized, demonstrate ability to pay strong attention to detail, ability to see the big picture and execute strategic plan


Ability to work in teams and also independently


Effectively prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines and be accountable for a high quality work product

Preferred Skillsets/Qualifications:

Partner with energy efficiency and demand management program managers to develop annual and five year budgets, rolling forecasts and research monthly variations.


Assess trends and identify key business drivers impacting the energy efficiency and demand management programs; communicate results and findings and make recommendations to program teams.


Ensure month-end close is completed timely and partner with Corporate Accounting to verify program balances for completeness and accuracy.


Develop key financial reporting metrics and create a financial dashboard to report on the financial progress of the energy efficiency and demand management programs.


Assist in the strategic planning and development of the department’s O&M budget, capital budget, and staffing plan in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Monitor and track actual results against budgets and staffing plan and identifies areas for improvement.


Assist with developing annual departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Monitor KPI progress on a monthly basis and ensure results are reported timely and accurately.


Support rate case process, including analyzing program change funding requests, and preparing of white papers, exhibits and testimony.


Develop internal control procedures and conduct reviews to monitor compliance with department and company procedures. Communicate results and make recommendations to the Director as appropriate.


Manage projects to improve planning, analysis and reporting. Drive continuous improvements to improve financial reporting.


Ensure allocations for invoice payments are accurate and complete.


May perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
