Qualifications: Con Edison’s IT Business Systems Delivery (BSD), Central Operations and Gas Support, seeks to hire a Department Manager who is a dedicated professional with excellent leadership and project management skills and experience. The BSD Gas Support organization will partner with Gas Operations to lead the implementation of Gas Work and Asset Management (GWAM). GWAM is a transformative initiative to optimize planning and management of all types of work in an integrated IT platform. Gas Operations desires to achieve excellent customer service as well as efficient control and transparency into work flow, job status, costs and assets. The Department Manager will partner with the business lead of the initiative to direct the GWAM implementation. The department manager must be experienced at managing complex IT projects and implementing major change initiatives. The individual will manage and collaborate with multiple vendors and service providers, work with employees across IT and business areas, motivate and direct a dedicated project team and engage with project sponsors and other senior executives. To be successful in this role the individual must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships built on transparency and trust; have broad experience managing cross-functional teams; consistently demonstrate inclusion in decision-making; and possess excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively and convey relevant information simply and clearly to all levels of the organization. The candidate must possess strong business and IT technical acumen. The candidate should be experienced with implementation methodologies including Systems Development Lifecycle, Agile and/or change management. Responsibilities: The candidate will be managing an energetic motivated team responsible for establishing the foundation, alignment, solution design and deployment, solution testing, and rollout of the Gas Work and Asset Management (GWAM) System. This system will incrementally replace and consolidate existing gas work and asset management applications and facility data with the CGI Asset and Resource Management (ARM) software suite. The candidate will also be responsible for the integration of the ARM software suite with existing Con Edison systems and processes. The candidate will work with the business to issue Request of Proposals for various aspects of this comprehensive IT solution for Gas Operations, particularly for PMO, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology system integrator services. The candidate will establish and build relationships with vendors, sponsors and stakeholders including corporate leadership. The individual will work with the business and selected vendors to design a manageable implementation plan which prioritizes the replacement of the systems and the integration to existing Con Edison systems and processes in a way that minimizes the impact to the business community. The candidate will direct and coordinate implementation activities, manage expectations, and communicate progress at high levels of the organization as well as monitor all aspects of the project to ensure strategic business and IT’s project management, technology, functional, compliance, and cost management goals and KPIs are met. The individual will monitor policy and compliance surrounding application security, cyber security, personal identification information, disaster recovery, Sarbanes Oxley, Corporate Risk Management, EH&S and software license and maintenance contracts. The candidate will establish an application roadmap with respect to patching, upgrades and product lifecycle. The individual will build and lead a high-performing, inclusive/collaborative team and transition responsibilities to a long-term support structure after implementation. The candidate will also champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas throughout this project; be responsible for communicating with the business to identify emerging or changing needs and evaluate alternative solutions and scope change; develop strategies to stay on track; communicate strategy to the team; assign responsibilities to system managers, review status reports, and address issues as appropriate; and manage the development of the project managers as well as motivate, mentor, empower, and monitor the well-being and success of the entire IT team working on GWAM.

The candidate must also have 4-8 years of demonstrated work experience supporting the Hyperion suite of products (Hyperion Planning, HFM, FDM, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Reports, EPMA). The successful candidate must possess excellent technical writing and oral communication skills. Experience writing formal documentation and requirements is required. Some experience preparing and conducting presentations is also desired. This individual must demonstrate the ability to complete multiple assignments with changing priorities while still meet deadlines. Must be able perform some supervisory functions in support of or absence of team leader. Must be able to learn new technologies, transfer knowledge to peers, and train subordinates. This individual must be able to actively contribute to the installation and support of the Hyperion suite of products. These products support the Company’s financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and consolidations.



Knowledge of Oracle/Hyperion Data Relationship Management (DRM) is preferred. Knowledge of finance architecture systems around Information Systems is desired; Involvement in full life cycle of project development, including requirements, design, development, testing, rollout, implementation and training; excellent ability to research, evaluate and recommend technical solutions; excellent planning, research, time management, and multi-tasking skills; the proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal business and technical teams as well as vendors and consultants; ability to take directions and plan and execute independently or with minimal guidance. In addition, relational data base (SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2), SQL programming skills, strong data transformation experience (DTS/SSIS/ODI) ETL Extraction, Transforming and Loading, and Java/IIS Web Server skills are desired. Responsibilities: The Candidate should be able to design, develop and maintain the applications using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management suite of products: Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, Essbase, Financial Data Quality Management, Hyperion Strategic Finance, Hyperion Workforce Planning, Oracle/Hyperion Data Relationship Management, Enterprise Performance Management Architect, Report and Analysis. Candidate will assist in the migration of application artifacts from development to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments; work closely with System Infrastructure and Database Administrator teams to configure system and troubleshoot performance issues. Selected candidate will also work with the Hyperion Planning business users, DBAs and Oracle to diagnose and solve application errors.



The candidate will work with users to prepare requirements analysis for existing or new systems; Develops functional scope and design documentation for enhancements of existing systems; Principal author in development of documentation for larger projects; Drafts test plans. The candidate will design application enhancements and small projects according to departmental standards and write programming specifications based on system design. The selected individual is expected to perform unit, integration and system testing, and set up user acceptance testing. Additional requirements include the ability to develop move strategies, prepare packages for production moves, and troubleshoot and resolve production problems. The candidate will be expected to work with vendors to support and maintain testing and production environments, performing and testing upgrades as necessary. Qualifications: Information Technology Gas and Steam SCADA support is seeking to recruit a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service and possesses a strong technical understanding and proficiency in Local Area Network (LAN), firewall, virtual servers and storage area network computing. The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. This individual must be able to exercise good judgment and render sound business decisions. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills. A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline (engineering, math, science, business administration) with at least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology is required or an Associate’s Degree/technical certification with at least 5 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology. Also, a minimum 3 years' experience of hands-on IT project management experience or equivalent experience in analytical capacity, e.g. business analysis, programming, engineering system design, testing. Strong skills and experience with MS Office or similar suite. Word Excel, PowerPoint, Visio required; Project is required. The successful candidate must perform a broad range of responsible and complex computer systems administration duties in the implementation and maintenance of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) or other computer information systems. The candidate will manage departmental projects as needed and will serve as a liaison between vendors, corporate Information Technology personnel, and business users. The candidate will provide complex technical support for desktop, server and network hardware, software and/or peripheral equipment.



The applicant with experience or exposure with wired and wireless communication, data security methods is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent is preferred. Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related discipline with an information technology focus, a plus.

Responsibilities: The Systems Analyst will be a member of the Information Technology (IT) Gas and Steam SCADA Support team that is responsible to administer, maintain and troubleshoot Gas and Steam Control Center’s SCADA, to ensure the security, reliability of all servers and related equipment. The candidate will perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of servers and network devices. The analyst will serve as project manager for small-scale vendor installation of computing and infrastructure equipment. The analyst will work with other IT groups to determine a need for any server or infrastructure security, upgrades and will participate in configuring, designing and implementing such upgrades. The candidate will develop and maintain detailed cyber security statistics for SCADA devices and be responsible for working with the Cyber Security team on evaluating potential threats to the SCADA system. The candidate will also be assigned projects to automate various manual processes through scripting. Examples of daily tasks include, but are not limited to: • Server builds and assign server permissions • Patch servers and execute server checklists • Perform vCenter maintenance • Perform VM host management and maintenance • Install and move servers and storage equipment • Maintain server and storage equipment and interface with support vendors


Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to lift/transport all required server equipment.



The candidate must be able to provide off-hour, on-call support for server and storage related issues that requires travel to various supported server/location sites and must be willing and able to work overtime and be flexible with work hours to respond to emergencies or scheduled work that must be done either prior to or after normal business hours. The candidate will champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas throughout this project; be responsible for communicating with the business to identify emerging or changing needs and evaluate alternative solutions and scope change; develop strategies to stay on track; communicate strategy to the team; assign responsibilities to team members, review status reports, and address issues as appropriate; and manage the development, well-being, and success of the entire IT team working on GWAM.


Physical Requirements: The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel within NY City and the Bronx to attend meetings and provide support as necessary.
