Qualifications: Corporate Accounting is seeking a highly motivated accounting professional to join its Financial Reporting department. The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field with a minimum of two years Accounting or equivalent Finance work experience. Must have strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong managerial skills and ability to interact with senior management are also required. Proficiency in MS Office products is required.



Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, knowledge of US GAAP, and experience of preparing board books, financial statements and footnotes are essential. Knowledge and experience with the Oracle EBS, HFM, Oracle Business Intelligence, and Wdesk is preferred. CPA and working experience in the utility industry is preferred.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the accounting supervisor, the selected candidate assists in the coordination and preparation of the monthly financial report of the Company to the Board of Directors which includes the financial results, capital expenditures, and operations & maintenance expenses compared to the budget and prior year, gathers and analyzes information used in developing these financial reports including the earnings analysis in support of the Company’s earnings press release and supplemental information. The selected candidate is also responsible for the coordination and preparation of the quarterly and annual external filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as the quarterly and annual financial reporting for Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. Performs functions necessary in meeting goals of maintaining the Company’s accounting books and records properly. Ensures that his/her work is accurate, timely, and in compliance with the Company’s procedures, identifies areas for improvement, and takes appropriate actions. Guided by practices and procedures, the selected candidate must interpret the Company policies to achieve specific objectives demonstrating constructive thinking and sound judgment. Develops good working relationship with various organizations throughout the Company. Maintains open communication with internal and external auditors, and coordinates and reviews various requests and questionnaires from them. Ensures compliance with the Company policies and governmental regulations on environment, health and safety.



May perform ad hoc assignments necessary in meeting the department’s goals.

Physical Requirements: Must have a valid Driver’s License and be willing and able to travel to company locations as appropriate.

Qualifications: Corporate Accounting is looking for motivated individuals to join its Project Section. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years work experience in accounting, finance or a related field. Related work experience includes: 2 years of supervisory experience; preferably Union personnel, strong accounting knowledge including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, capital and O&M accounts, project accounting and budgets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills. Ability to interact with all levels of management personnel. Proficiency in MS Office products is also required.



Knowledge of Oracle and Projects is required. SQL Access, Business Intelligence and SharePoint preferred

Responsibilities: Selected candidate will be responsible for the Authorization/Appropriation process for capital projects, maintenance of accounting controls and procedures, coordination with Cost Managers on process improvements related to the transfer of charges. Work with various departments to determine the root cause of transfers. Assist internal customers in improving the data entering into the Oracle system. Overseeing the functions performed by the Section Manager in their absence. Specific functions will vary depending upon the needs of the section. Selected candidates will also be responsible to ensure compliance with Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed.
