Qualifications: Public Improvement is looking to hire a highly motivated, resourceful, and articulate individual with strong analytical skills. The candidate must have experience in the field of data preparation and analytics. The applicant must have excellent strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work with people at all levels of the company. Must possess good time management and multi-tasking skills. The individual must be well-organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments. The ability to work independently in a fast paced complex work environment is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field of study with two year of relevant work experience (includes co-op or internships). Ensures all personnel, tools and material are efficiently used and the use of Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools incorporated in daily activities. Responsibilities: The candidate will ensure that safe work practices are fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. The candidate will support quality assurance activities by gathering data analytics as follows: • Analyze data through the use of NYC Streets Permit Management System. • Prioritize, track, and update the status of test pit requests from our Engineering Department. • Create worksheets in COMPASS to assist with the payment of Contractor invoices. • Interact with various Con Edison departments (Engineering, Planning Group, Construction Management) and Company Contractors to collect data that will be used to fulfill test pit requests. • Interact with Public Improvement field personnel to ensure test pits information is recorded accurately and in a timely matter. • Support the department in various related analysis and programming tasks. • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Physical Requirements: Position requires a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel between various working locations. Position requires walking, standing, and climbing. The work environment consists of office and field visits. Must be physically able to wear the standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). May be required to work off hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to respond to emergencies if required, and work in extreme weather conditions.

Qualifications: Con Edison Emergency Preparedness organization, formerly Emergency Management, is seeking a highly motivated dedicated professional to join the organization as a Business Associate. The Business Associate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and management of the Municipal Liaison Program (MLP). The MLP is a program that supports achieving effective communication and enhanced relationships, both during an event and on “blue sky” days with Westchester County Municipalities. The safety of our employees, the public and the rapid restoration of all of the Municipalities we serve to normal operations are of the utmost importance. The Business Associate will also assist in supporting the maintenance of Company’s Emergency Response Plans (ERPs), the Organizations Corporate Instructions and other guiding documents relative to emergency preparedness; and supporting emergency incidents (e.g. storms). As it relates to the MLP, ERPs and other applicable guiding documents, the Business Associate will be responsible for ensuring a well-trained and prepared workforce; an effective storm/system preparation, restoration, and recovery; regulatory compliance and relationships; and maintaining internal external relationships. Successful Candidates will need to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, Emergency Management/Preparedness or equivalent. And a minimum of 1 year relevant experience (includes co-op or internship). Should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be a self-motivated individual that is able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Must exercise good judgement and render sound decisions. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Possess intermediate program/project management skills. Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities and critical deadlines. Must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities: The primary objectives and responsibilities: Support department as follows: •Provide direct oversight and management of the MLP, both internally and externally. •Maintain annual activities related to the MLP. •Maintain and develop Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and Guidelines and ensure integration throughout the Company. •Maintain Corporate Instructions for which Emergency Preparedness is the Advice and Counsel. •Ensure integration of the Electric Storm Scorecards throughout the Company and facilitate the completion of required Scorecards. Support and interact with other organizations including: •Collaborate with Operations and Shared Services to identify their needs and resources as it relates to Plans, etc. •Support Incident Command System (ICS) mobilizations (e.g. storms). •Support Orange and Rockland (“O&R”) as required. •Support the Mutual Assistance process as required. Participate in exercises. Attend meetings, conferences, and workshops related to emergency preparedness/management in order to learn new information and to develop working relationships with industry partners. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within O&R and CECONY Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to work any shift (day or night). Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions, as well as capable of extensive walking, climbing and standing. Must be medically approved to wear a respirator (where appropriate). Must be available for extended work hours and call-in when necessary, including weekends, nights or holidays. Must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required.

Qualifications: The Transmission Planning Department is seeking to recruit highly motivated and dedicated professional individuals to join the team. Selected candidate must have the ability to coordinate basic complex engineering project; must have computer literacy and the ability to direct the usage of electronic computer-based analytical simulations; be experienced working productively and effectively in a team environment; demonstrate ability to adhere to schedules and meet deadlines; and must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electric Power Engineering, or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electric Power Engineering.



The candidate for the Technical Associate (Entry Professional) position must have a minimum of 1 years relevant experience or 6 months full-time relevant experience in Consolidated Edison’s college cooperative or summer internship program. Relevant experience includes Full-time or internship experience in application and theory of electrical engineering principles in the area of planning, design and/or operation of the bulk electric transmission system.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will plan the overall development of the Con Edison bulk electric transmission system on both a long-range and a short-range basis. The selected candidate will conduct routine studies, of basic complexity in engineering design and planning, in accordance with applicable Criteria, Rules and Standards, of the bulk electric transmission system that may include short circuit, thermal and voltage analysis. The selected candidate will also modify, and/or write computer programs (or subroutines) required to perform these studies. In addition, the selected candidate will interact with the NYISO as it relates to the maintenance of the Transmission System Modeling Data. The selected candidate may be assigned to work under the supervision of a Team Leader, such as an Engineer, a Senior Engineer or a Technical Specialist.


Physical Requirements: The selected candidate must have a valid driver’s license; and must be able and willing to travel to attend meetings/conferences as required on Company business. The selected candidate must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management process or storm plans as required.
