Qualifications: Central Engineering is seeking a highly motivated candidate for an EP Technical Associate (Engineering), an entry professional position, in Relay Protection and Meter Engineering Section. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong service-oriented work ethic and be able to exercise good judgment and support Company goals for safety, exemplary customer service and environmental excellence. Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with internal customers, engineering staff and various levels of management. Must have the ability to work independently or as a member of a team on assignments. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 1 year of relevant engineering work experience (co-op or internship). Candidate should be skilled in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Team Center.




Responsibilities: The EP Technical Associate will provide the following duties: Support engineering projects related to relay protection, relay communication ,metering for Area and Transmission Substations and Steam Business unit; Support engineering projects as Lead Discipline Engineer (LDE) on small capital projects ; Support general engineering tasks, such as: create various reports, schedules and presentations; contact other Departments/Organizations to obtain or transmit technical information; Interface with other Departments/Organizations providing support as a discipline engineer on the projects initiated by them; Maintain up-to-date status on all Engineering Service Requests (ESR) accepted by Relay Protection Engineering Manager; Provide an assistance to the engineers in Relay Protection and Metering section working on large projects by completing engineering tasks such as: calculations; sketches; searches through drawings database; developing presentations. Participate in development of standard engineering documents such as standard drawings, engineering documents templates; Participate in project field walks. Performs other related assignments as required


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to wear the required PPE as needed.

Qualifications: The Information Security is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Security Network Operations Center team. To be eligible, the selected candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree OR an Associate’s Degree with equivalent technical certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH etc.). The candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience in IT. Information Security work experience preferred. A well-rounded candidate must be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible to include handling of multiple assignments with deadlines while adapting to changing priorities. The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as you will interact with customers, support staff, outside vendors and various levels of management throughout the enterprise. Strong technical skills across cyber security technologies, scripting skills, knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems, malware detection systems, content monitoring and data protection systems and Security Event Management to correlate various sources of security alerts is preferred. Strong knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and network architecture is preferred. Must be available 24/7 and available to be on call and/or participate in off-hour emergency response activities as required. Participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability and willingness to travel within the O&R and CECONY service territory as required.



Previous experience in a SOC/NOC, Information Security environment is preferred.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be responsible for utilizing cyber security monitoring tools to provide day-to-day operational support and monitoring of the IT computing infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to provide timely response, troubleshooting and escalation of alerts and coordinate incident response efforts with CyberSecurity Group. Responsibilities also include: • Monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting intrusion prevention, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, and access control technologies • Responding swiftly to all alerts; performing initial risk/impact assessments or escalating issues as appropriate • Opening and tracking incidents through to resolution • Facilitating communications both internal and external parties • Enforcing change management controls and guidelines • Providing real time and near real time responses to end users, technical support groups and IT management • Issuing daily reports and following established procedures



This is a rotating position with a shift differential that covers holidays, weekends, and nights.

Physical Requirements: The candidate must have a valid drivers license and be willing to work overtime and be flexible with work hours, be on call, and respond to emergencies.
