Qualifications: The Gas Compliance & Quality Assessment Department is looking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated professional to join the organization. The Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical, technical, statistical and administrative support to the Gas Compliance & Quality Assessment Organization. The candidate must be capable of working independently as well as in teams and will be required to travel to various locations throughout the Con Edison service territory. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience or a HS diploma/GED with 5 years of experience. Experience must be in operations, IT, data analytics, or related field. Demonstrated experience scheduling, planning and coordinating meetings, events, and other team functions required. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Strong computer skills, including the Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access) and database management systems required. Must possess the ability to interface with all levels of union and management employees. Must possess informal leadership and interpersonal skills and have the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to confidently interact with all levels of employees. Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills to track and manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced setting.



Experience with quality assurance, auditing, or other process improvement initiatives preferred. Knowledge or experience with regulatory compliance preferred. Experience reviewing, interpreting and analyzing policies and procedures preferred. Knowledge of and experience with operator qualification requirements preferred. Experience with data analytics and visualization software (e.g. ACL, Tableau) preferred. Experience with Visio, Microsoft Project, Sharepoint preferred. Experience with various electronic systems used in Gas Operations such as Action Tracking, GIS, Byers, ProjectWise, GIMS, Visions, Oracle, and e-train preferred.

Responsibilities: Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Assist with coordination of annual requalification, among other team assignments. Expertise in computer reporting and database management systems required. Maintain documentation and develop meaningful reporting metrics. Assist with tracking the CEO Certification requirements, as needed. Provide assistance with updating and submitting various internal reports on compliance activities and highlights on a periodic basis. Identify and report on trends. Assist with the preparation of filings and reports for compliance purposes. Must have the ability to work well under pressure, have a positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent customer focus. Candidate must be able to work independently, demonstrate initiative and follow through, and exercise discretion in coordinating projects, reports and information as required in a busy environment. Must be adaptable to frequent changes in workload and willing to work overtime, with little or no notice, when business needs dictate. Play an active role in meeting goals and performance measures. Partner with and initiate benchmarking activities with other organizations and outside utilities. Ensure compliance with all state regulations and Legislation. Comply with the Company’s Standards of Business Conduct. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required, including overall administrative support for the organization.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able and willing to participate in emergency assignments to respond to incidents or storms, as needed.

Qualifications: The Gas Compliance & Quality Assessment Department is looking to hire a highly motivated, dedicated professional to join its Quality Control section. The Specialist will conduct quality control inspections in the field on various topics related to Gas Operations and Construction Management, including inspection of work processes, and verifying that policies and procedures are followed. S/he will be responsible for reconciling contractor paperwork and the billing process. The Specialist will participate on quality improvement teams and present findings at staff meetings. The candidate will compile data from various inspection programs and when required, communicate results to management. Must possess the ability to interface with all levels of union and management employees and must exhibit excellent customer service. Scheduling experience and compliance-based work experience is preferred, as is the ability to discreetly work with confidential and sensitive information. Some knowledge of Gas Operations is preferred. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to build rapport, develop a working relationship, and influence employees at all levels of the company. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, database management, as well as knowledge of electronic reporting systems is required. The candidate must also exhibit excellent customer service.



Specialist (1H) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or other related field, with 2 years related experience; or an Associate’s degree with 4 years related experience; or a HS Diploma/GED with 5 years related work experience is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Perform Contractor Field Observations (CFOR) as well as Job Site Safety Exchanges (JSSE), as needed. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
