Information Technology seeks to hire a dedicated professional who is highly motivated and committed to exemplary customer service to join the Distribution Control Center Support team within its Business Systems Delivery group supporting our server and storage infrastructure. The position offers the opportunity to attend technical and leadership training, while the team endeavors to provide an open environment for questions and feedback and strongly encourages the development and growth of our employees. Candidates for this position must have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, math, science, business administration or a related discipline with an information technology focus with at least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in a related Information Technology field, or Associate’s Degree and technical certification with at least 5 years of demonstrated work experience in a related Information Technology field. Successful candidates should have excellent analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills, be detail oriented and be able to work independently, multitasking as needed to address multiple assignments and deadlines. The ability to interact with all levels of management is essential for this position. The candidate will need to have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, outside vendors and various levels of management, and support physical and virtual server and storage infrastructure. Administration, deployment, and support of Windows, Linux and Unix servers, VMWare environments, and Storage Area Networks in high availability configurations. Candidate must be experienced with system backup/restore and disaster recovery technologies. Knowledge of networking and cyber security concepts and technologies will be required in order to work closely with IT groups who deploy and support that equipment within our environment. This role also requires 24/7 availability and to be participate in off-hour emergency response activities as required. All employees must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability and willingness to travel within the CECONY service territory as required Candidate should be flexible and willing to work off hours as required to install product upgrades, support production problems or respond to corporate emergencies and may need to report to other offices within the service territory.



Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related discipline with an information technology focus, a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge of the following is preferred: EMC, NetApp storage environments, Fibre Channel and iSCSI management, advanced Windows, Linux, and Unix system administration, TCP/IP networking and understanding of traffic flows, and VMWare virtualization, Active Directory Security Policies, LDAP, MS Office. Intrusion detection/prevention systems, web application/database firewall systems and Splunk experience preferred. Must demonstrate ability to work in teams in a manner consistent with Company objectives.

Responsibilities: 1. Prepare standards based documents for the installation of computing or communications components to support the Distribution Control Center server and network infrastructure. 2. Serve as project manager for small-scale vendor installation of computing and infrastructure equipment. 3. Build, manage, and monitor the DECC VMware virtual environment. Create Windows and Unix templates, presenting network and storage resources.6. 4. Build, patch, monitor and troubleshoot Windows and Unix Servers. 5. Develop Windows and Unix scripts to streamline system management tasks. 6. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot backup environment for DECC Windows and Unix servers. 7. Manage and configure Storage Arrays, and allocate and present new storage to VMware and Unix systems. 8. Configure Fiber switches for use with Fiber attached servers and SANs. 9. Work with corporate infrastructure groups to troubleshoot connectivity issues with network switches, routers and firewalls. 10. Work with Corporate Active Directory Group to maintain compliance to Corporate AD standards. 11. Lead technical evaluations of contractor proposals, software, or hardware. 12. Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. 13. Responsibilities: The Senior System Analyst is responsible for leading system development as well as vendor implementation efforts, from project initiation through post implementation. The Senior System Analyst will initiate the efforts, lead internal IT and work with cross-functional teams as required, engage vendors and company stakeholders, and monitor and control all project activity throughout the project life-cycle. Responsibilities: The primary focus of this position is to enhance and secure a large enterprise network. The position requires excellent knowledge of Cisco routing / switching and implementing the best configuration and security practices around them. Support of network tools and utilities such as Netbrain, BBNA, eHealth, NNMi, Solarwinds. The technical aspects of the position require firm knowledge of OSI model layers 1, 2, and 3, and the network components of each layer along with a working knowledge of the other OSI layers in order to interpret and diagnose network captures. The successful candidate will: • Participate as part of a network team in the rollout and support of all facets of network technologies under the Network Systems departmental responsibilities. These include LAN and WAN networking, deployment of an MPLS core, Cisco UCS and legacy datacenters, departmental VLans,100+ remote sites, Cisco Wireless. • Integrate new technologies / protocols into existing networks. • Participate in planning sessions. • Develop visual diagrams and project work plans. • Collect and interpret packet capture to analyze various protocols for performance and/or troubleshooting. • Troubleshoot and remedy performance bottlenecks in the network using performance metrics using capacity management and performance tools to measure trends, and capacity. • Have strong troubleshooting skills and a personal drive to remediate any issues.



Programming and script development for management tools and automation is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements: • Must have a valid driver’s license. • Must be able to lift and rack equipment. • Must be available 24x7 for emergencies and scheduling of critical work in order to minimize system impact to the supported business units. • Travel to other company locations as necessary.

MDMS provides customer consumption data for electric and gas, a key input to billing. In future phases of the AMI Project, MDMS will also play a central role in innovative new technologies and processes like advanced grid control and outage management integration. Responsibilities: The candidate will be managing an energetic development team responsible for establishing the foundation, alignment, solution design and deployment, solution testing, and rollout of future phases of the aforementioned AMI Systems. The immediate phases that are beginning will experience new MDMS integrations to support complex billing rates, outage/restoration management, and service orders. In parallel, the candidate will be supporting production systems through the deployment of thousands of meters on a daily basis that will need to provide ever increasing amounts of billing data. The candidate will establish and build relationships with vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for the overall design, build and development of the solution. The individual will be directly responsible for technical aspects of the solution in terms of system configuration, developing custom objects, conversion programs, and system interfaces. The individual will lead a team of IT developers and work closely with various delivery groups (vendor developers, BizTalk team and shared resources) to ensure that the system is built to the specifications and meets performance requirements. The candidate will work with the Department Manager to direct and coordinate development activities, manage expectations, and communicate progress at high levels of the organization as well as monitor all aspects of the project to ensure strategic business and IT project management, technology, functional, compliance, and cost management goals and KPIs are met. The individual will help to monitor policy and compliance surrounding application security, cyber security, personal identification information, disaster recovery, Sarbanes Oxley, Corporate Risk Management, EH&S and software license and maintenance contracts. The candidate will champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas throughout this project; be responsible for communicating with the business to identify emerging or changing needs and evaluate alternative solutions and scope change; develop strategies to stay on track; communicate strategy to the team; assign responsibilities to team members, review status reports, and address issues as appropriate; and manage the development, well-being, and success of the entire IT team working on the AMI Project.
