Qualifications: Con Edison’s IT Business Systems Delivery (BSD), Central Operations and Gas Support, seeks to hire a Department Manager who is a dedicated professional with excellent leadership and project management skills and experience. The BSD Gas Support organization will partner with Gas Operations to lead the implementation of Gas Work and Asset Management (GWAM). GWAM is a transformative initiative to optimize planning and management of all types of work in an integrated IT platform. Gas Operations desires to achieve excellent customer service as well as efficient control and transparency into work flow, job status, costs and assets. The Department Manager will partner with the business lead of the initiative to direct the GWAM implementation. The department manager must be experienced at managing complex IT projects and implementing major change initiatives. The individual will manage and collaborate with multiple vendors and service providers, work with employees across IT and business areas, motivate and direct a dedicated project team and engage with project sponsors and other senior executives. To be successful in this role the individual must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships built on transparency and trust; have broad experience managing cross-functional teams; consistently demonstrate inclusion in decision-making; and possess excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively and convey relevant information simply and clearly to all levels of the organization. The candidate must possess strong business and IT technical acumen. The candidate should be experienced with implementation methodologies including Systems Development Lifecycle, Agile and/or change management. The candidate should be experienced with directing the development of integrated program or project plans and managing issues, risks and dependencies. The candidate must be results oriented and possess high energy coupled with emotional intelligence. Bachelor’s Degree and extensive experience (8 to 10 years) in business application services, transformative initiatives or IT infrastructure is required in addition, a minimum of five years leadership or managerial experience is required. Responsibilities: The candidate will be managing an energetic motivated team responsible for establishing the foundation, alignment, solution design and deployment, solution testing, and rollout of the Gas Work and Asset Management (GWAM) System. This system will incrementally replace and consolidate existing gas work and asset management applications and facility data with the CGI Asset and Resource Management (ARM) software suite. The candidate will also be responsible for the integration of the ARM software suite with existing Con Edison systems and processes. The candidate will work with the business to issue Request of Proposals for various aspects of this comprehensive IT solution for Gas Operations, particularly for PMO, Quality Assurance, and Information Technology system integrator services. The candidate will establish and build relationships with vendors, sponsors and stakeholders including corporate leadership. The individual will work with the business and selected vendors to design a manageable implementation plan which prioritizes the replacement of the systems and the integration to existing Con Edison systems and processes in a way that minimizes the impact to the business community. The candidate will direct and coordinate implementation activities, manage expectations, and communicate progress at high levels of the organization as well as monitor all aspects of the project to ensure strategic business and IT’s project management, technology, functional, compliance, and cost management goals and KPIs are met. The individual will monitor policy and compliance surrounding application security, cyber security, personal identification information, disaster recovery, Sarbanes Oxley, Corporate Risk Management, EH&S and software license and maintenance contracts. The candidate will establish an application roadmap with respect to patching, upgrades and product lifecycle. The individual will build and lead a high-performing, inclusive/collaborative team and transition responsibilities to a long-term support structure after implementation. The candidate will also champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas throughout this project; be responsible for communicating with the business to identify emerging or changing needs and evaluate alternative solutions and scope change; develop strategies to stay on track; communicate strategy to the team; assign responsibilities to system managers, review status reports, and address issues as appropriate; and manage the development of the project managers as well as motivate, mentor, empower, and monitor the well-being and success of the entire IT team working on GWAM.

Responsibilities: The Shift Manager will supervise the activities of the System Monitoring Group (SMG), Network Desk (NWD) and Mainframe Operations analysts in conjunction with the Systems Manager. They will be responsible for application, network and infrastructure monitoring and communications. The shift manager will enforce change management controls and guidelines, ensure timely, reliable and accurate communications internally to Information Technology and externally to our customers including daily status reports, daily system status calls, weekly change control meetings, and event communication. They will be responsible for working with SME’s to ensure prompt response, resolution, analysis, trending, and root cause analysis. This includes the coordination and activation of incident response, support and development of related processes and forms, routine review of communication procedures, and regular reporting of data. The Shift Manager will ensure that the NOC analysts coordinate and schedule all preventative maintenance and repair work for all Data Center environmental support hardware such as UPS, Chiller plant, and all HVAC equipment. Planning and executing mainframe recovery strategies, drills and processes to ensure the continuation of vital business functions. In addition, the Shift Manager will oversee major projects as designated by the Systems Manager of the NOC. May perform other related duties as required.

Requires understanding of the various organizations’ business functions in order to assign and ensure the completion of technical support/projects. Responsibilities: The Project Specialist under the general guidance of the Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the work of a team of Systems Analysts and contractors that are responsible for completing tasks and emergent work for the various business organizations. Independently providing on-site troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and resolution, and general support for the Corporate Infrastructure installed at all company locations. This initiative comes at a time when New York State is seeking to rethink and improve its energy future. The Con Edison AMI smart meter initiative is integral to this very effort, and it is the most influential project in the company’s history. Information Technology’s AMI Implementation Technical Architecture Team is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and innovative Senior Application Administrator to join its management team. The candidate must recognize the importance of Commitment to Excellence, be able to provide exemplary customer service, demonstrate a high energy level, be flexible, and be able to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) mission critical enterprise applications are implemented on time, according to specification, and meet performance requirements. The candidate will support assigned core AMI applications such as the AMI Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management System (MDMS) or Meter Asset Management System (MAMS). This Senior Application Administrator is a senior position and should be able to function under minimal direction. While the primary function is to ensure the systems that this candidate is responsible for are up and running, this role will require planning and preparation for modifications to system requirements (including increase capacity and performance requirements), additional systems, and future upgrades. This role requires support throughout the implementation phases of the systems involved, and also the operations and maintenance of these systems after their ‘go-live.’ This position requires an Information Technology Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years working in a related role. Also requires experience leading technology project teams and performing project management functions. Expertise in application administration and application architecture is preferred. The following are also required skills: • Thorough knowledge and experience with the configuration, implementation, and management of monitoring and performance management application technologies. • Strong troubleshooting capability, including ‘hands-on’ experience and coordination of issue resolution (including assigning appropriate resources based on skillset, ability, etc.). • Ability to conduct and/or support environment related discussions and offer guidance, feedback and evaluation support for various technical options that may be presented. • Considerable knowledge of IT development and support procedures, methods and practices. • Considerable knowledge of IT software development life cycles and implementation models. • Considerable knowledge of IT infrastructure requirements gathering techniques. • Considerable knowledge of IT Program Management techniques, such as work breakdown structures, scheduling, estimating, resource balancing and common Project Management tools. • Ability to recognize, analyze and provide solutions to difficult information technology problems. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Con Edison IT and business staff. • Strong leadership skills.



• Thorough knowledge and experience with a broad range of information technologies including multi-tiered client-server computing environments, web technologies, networking technologies, operating systems, virtualization technologies, applications programming interfaces (and other integration techniques), relational database systems and software development, migration and batch scheduling tools.

Responsibilities: •Must have hands on experience with Windows client/server in a large corporate environment. •Must have scripting experience, Dot Net, PowerShell, VB Script. •Must be able to write SQL queries, SSIS packages and SSRS •Diagnose and resolve AMI application related performance issues, and present findings, resolutions, conclusions and other relevant detail to IT senior management. •Ensure the integrity and availability of the AMI related infrastructure, and develop strategies to minimize system downtime. Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. •Perform system configuration, testing and system performance reviews. •Work with application vendor resources to identify forthcoming application patches and hotfixes. •Experience with Architecture planning, Documentation, and User administration. •Work with customer/user groups to identify bug and enhancement requests to be delivered to vendor(s). •Work with other Con Ed IT resources from groups such as application vendors, application support.

Knowledge of Oracle/Hyperion Data Relationship Management (DRM) is preferred. Responsibilities: The Candidate should be able to design, develop and maintain the applications using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management suite of products: Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, Essbase, Financial Data Quality Management, Hyperion Strategic Finance, Hyperion Workforce Planning, Oracle/Hyperion Data Relationship Management, Enterprise Performance Management Architect, Report and Analysis. Responsibilities: The Systems Analyst will be a member of the Information Technology (IT) Gas and Steam SCADA Support team that is responsible to administer, maintain and troubleshoot Gas and Steam Control Center’s SCADA, to ensure the security, reliability of all servers and related equipment. The candidate will perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of servers and network devices. The analyst will serve as project manager for small-scale vendor installation of computing and infrastructure equipment. The analyst will work with other IT groups to determine a need for any server or infrastructure security, upgrades and will participate in configuring, designing and implementing such upgrades. The candidate will develop and maintain detailed cyber security statistics for SCADA devices and be responsible for working with the Cyber Security team on evaluating potential threats to the SCADA system. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Full understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and experience writing key SDLC documents is required. System Analyst (1H): Requires an Information Technology Associate’s Degree with minimum 2 years working in a related role. The selected candidates must be able to work independently and coordinate activities across multiple locations. This position is for openings in both Spring Valley and 4 Irving Place. Final reporting location following the AMI project is to be determined, but candidates should understand that they may be based out of either Spring Valley or 4 Irving Place as required by the final application support plan. The core AMI applications are Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products that will need to be configured and interfaced with existing systems. The candidate should have experience developing complex system interfaces, both point-to-point and via middleware, that follow best practices. The candidate should have experience designing and validating Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and optimizing their performance. The candidate should have experience working with vendors and legacy system owners to troubleshoot system issues and tune application performance concerns. Design and development of new reports and metrics will be a key project activity. The candidate should have experience working with users to define, specify, and implement complex reports. Qualifications: Information Technology’s AMI Implementation Team is seeking dedicated, dynamic, and innovative individuals to join its management team. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) core applications are implemented on time, according to specification, and meet performance requirements. The candidates will join the AMI Application Support team supporting the new MAMS - Meter Asset Management System, the ProField Field Support or the Service Delivery Point Generator (SDPG). This position will have a focus on AMI system integrations and configurations in support of Orange & Rockland systems and practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with the successful design, development, testing, and migration to long-term support for enterprise class applications. The candidate should have experience working closely with users to design and develop system interfaces, reports, and enhancements to facilitate new or existing business processes. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Full understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and experience writing key SDLC documents is required. System Analyst (1H): Requires an Information Technology Associate’s Degree with 2 years working in a related role. Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in application development and support. Senior System Analyst (2L): Requires an Information Technology related Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years applicable experience in a related field. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in application development and support. Systems Specialist (2H): Requires an Information Technology related Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years or more experience and expertise in application development and support. Also requires experience leading technology project teams with past direct supervisory experience desired.



The selected candidates must be able to work independently and coordinate activities across multiple locations. For the duration of the AMI project, this position will be based out of Spring Valley and candidates will be required to report to 4 Irving Place, as needed. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an ability and past experience successfully working in a remote location from their primary team. Final reporting location following the AMI project is to be determined, but candidates should understand that they may be based out of either Spring Valley or 4 Irving Place as required by the final application support plan. The core AMI applications will be Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products that will need to be configured and interfaced with existing systems. The candidate should have experience developing complex system interfaces, both point-to-point and via middleware, that follow best practices. The candidate should have experience designing and validating Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and optimizing their performance. The AMI system will be responsible for processing large volumes of data with stringent performance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing enterprise testing strategies both to validate proper system function (end-to-end) and performance (stress testing). The candidate should have experience working with vendors to troubleshoot and tune application performance concerns. Design and development of new reports and metrics will be a key project activity. The candidate should have experience working with users to define, specify, and implement complex reports. The candidate should be fluent in SQL, able to craft queries, and be well versed in database fundamentals. The candidate should be able to read and understand a database schema and data dictionary. Experience supporting Smart Meter related business processes such as billing, asset lifecycle management, meter testing/support, network monitoring/control, demand response, or outage management in a utility or regulated industry is desired. Prior experience supporting Orange & Rockland Customer Information Systems, Asset Management Systems, or Work Management Systems is highly desired. For external applicants, experience with any of the following products is highly desired: Silver Spring Networks’ Utility IQ (HES), Omnetric/eMeter’s Energy IP (MDMS), TESCO’s Meter Manager (MAMS), or Smart Grid Solutions’ (formerly APEX) ProField meter installation management tool, SQL Server, SSIS Package Development, and C#.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the technical support of core AMI systems such as the AMI Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management System (MDMS) or Meter Asset Management System (MAMS). In this capacity the candidate will work directly with the respective business subject matter experts to ensure that applications are implemented per design, schedule, and budget while adhering to Information Resources policies and standards. Works closely with business groups to gather functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and detailed work estimates. Responsible for transitioning applications from project development to permanent production and will assume long-term application support responsibility following implementation. Systems Specialists (2H) will have additional responsibilities as a team lead and should be prepared to manage the work and performance of other team members. Assists AMI Systems Manager and AMI Project Director with ensuring that Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) applications are implemented in accordance within defined scope, satisfy functional and performance requirements, and are completed in accordance with project plan and schedules. Assists in ensuring that all phases of the project are completed successfully and in full compliance with Information Resources SDLC policies and requirements. Responsible for acting as the liaison between the project team/business stakeholders and Information Technology groups such as Middleware (BizTalk), Servers and Storage, Systems Assurance, Database Administration, Quality Assurance, System Architecture and Governance, Network Operations, and interfacing Application Support Teams. The candidate will support the installation, configuration, patching and upgrade of assigned applications. Will assist in the migration of application artifacts from development, to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments Works closely with System Infrastructure teams to configure servers, storage, and network access and support. Selected candidate will also work with business users, application developers, DBAs, and product vendors to diagnose and solve application errors and performance issues. Assists Technical Architecture, Database Administration, and Servers and Storage Operations groups with issues related to backup and restore, high availability, disaster recovery failovers, and performance issues. Candidates will also work with middleware and interfacing application teams to diagnose and solve integration issues. Supports application upgrade and lifecycle planning. Responsible for writing technical documentation and conducting technical presentations to all levels of management.

Responsibilities: The candidate will be managing an energetic development team responsible for establishing the foundation, alignment, solution design and deployment, solution testing, and rollout of the Gas Work and Asset Management (GWAM) System. This system will incrementally replace and consolidate existing gas work and asset management applications and facility data with the CGI Asset and Resource Management (ARM) software suite.
