As such, the IT Department of Con Edison is seeking multiple senior-level architect positions across multiple IT disciplines to lead and foster high quality, complex and innovative IT solutions. Candidates must have significant expertise in technology and ability to drive innovation. Candidates are expected to leverage these skills to design, architect and deploy IT solutions. Candidates will develop, communicate and influence strategic direction, and represent IT at the executive level. For this posting Con Edison is looking for an architect for its Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project. This innovative $1.3 Billion project is the largest in Con Edison’s 180+ year history and will transform New York City, Westchester and Orange and Rockland Counties into a state of the art smart grid. This new AMI network will allow our customers to receive real-time feedback on their energy usage to help them conserve and save and will help us improve our best in class service by detecting and responding to customer outages more quickly. The AMI architect will be responsible for the state of the art integrated AMI IT platform that serves as the foundation of the smart metering network. This AMI IT platform consists of multiple vendor software packages supporting AMI business process such as meter deployment and asset tracking and meter data management. These vendor packages are integrated with existing Con Edison core business customer and work management systems. The architect must possess the following experience and skills: Evaluating, selecting and implementing new technologies that meet needs beyond a single project or application, e.g. development, middleware, collaboration, visualization, information management or monitoring tools, API’s, mobile technologies, enterprise scheduling; Developing accompanying processes or training; Influencing rapid adoption. Extensive experience required in conducting project, design, database or code reviews or problem resolution in support of projects other than their own. Experience preferred with ownership (subject matter expert, vendor relationships and support roadmaps) of IT Components (e.g. development frameworks and tools, database management systems, operating systems).

Responsibilities: AMI Architect with responsibility for the state of the art integrated AMI IT platform that serves as the foundation of the smart metering network. The AMI Architect will be responsible for the overall solution architecture of the integrated AMI platform. This includes setting standards and overall technical leadership for design and build activities to enhance or build upon the AMI IT platform. Responsibilities: • Drives the design, architecture development and implementation of IT application solutions for Advanced Meter Infrastructure systems and the integration to the existing systems. • Collaborates with IT infrastructure and other application architects to develop and implement IT best practices. • Monitor IT, Electric and Gas industry and use that knowledge to drive innovative IT solutions • Develops strategies for improving the implementation timeline and total cost of ownership. The candidate should have high energy level that can lead both IT and business through complex processes. The candidate should possess the ability to partner with key business stakeholders to exploit existing IT investments and look for how technology can be leveraged to further improve business processes. The candidate must be able to lead a project from start to finish and provide insight into the various aspects of the project as well as be able to meet project dates and budget considerations. Responsibilities: The candidate will support the project management of multiple complex IT Projects and Programs for new and existing Electric Operations systems. Responsibilities are: • Provide project management leadership for Electric Operations system implementations at CECONY. • Defines project scope, goals and deliverables in support of business goals, and works with management and stakeholders for approvals. Partners with business users to identify and develop improvement in Electric Operations process & systems. • Creates and maintains project documentation – charters, project plans, schedules, status reports, issues list, and change requests. • Develops and maintains standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation as required. • Conducts all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are achieved. • Creates and maintains project budgets including people and material costs to all projects; estimates resources needed and work effort for all project activities and communicates to stakeholders. Responsibilities: The Shift Manager will supervise the activities of the System Monitoring Group (SMG), Network Desk (NWD) and Mainframe Operations analysts in conjunction with the Systems Manager. They will be responsible for application, network and infrastructure monitoring and communications. The shift manager will enforce change management controls and guidelines, ensure timely, reliable and accurate communications internally to Information Technology and externally to our customers including daily status reports, daily system status calls, weekly change control meetings, and event communication. They will be responsible for working with SME’s to ensure prompt response, resolution, analysis, trending, and root cause analysis. This includes the coordination and activation of incident response, support and development of related processes and forms, routine review of communication procedures, and regular reporting of data. The Shift Manager will ensure that the NOC analysts coordinate and schedule all preventative maintenance and repair work for all Data Center environmental support hardware such as UPS, Chiller plant, and all HVAC equipment. Planning and executing mainframe recovery strategies, drills and processes to ensure the continuation of vital business functions. In addition, the Shift Manager will oversee major projects as designated by the Systems Manager of the NOC. May perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Information Technology is looking for a dynamic individual to join the DCX (Digital Customer Experience) Technology Solutions team of Business Systems Delivery as a Sitecore Administrator/Developer. The company is undergoing an ambitious initiative to redefine the customer experience across our digital channels, including web and mobile, for both CECONY and O&R. This multi-year program will improve the company’s capabilities in the areas of governance, business process, and technology. As a result of this effort, several new fundamental technology capabilities will be implemented, including a web experience management system, identity & access management system, preference management, live chat, and surveys. Access to back end systems will be accomplished via web services. Some of these components will be hosted in the cloud. This opportunity allows the selected candidate to join a new team implementing cutting edge technology capabilities in support of a key company initiative. With the successful launch of our new public facing sites, the team has a need for an individual to support the administration and maintenance of our high-availability Sitecore CMS environment. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science, with at least five years of experience in the IT field. The candidate must have a strong background in supporting commercial off the shelf products, particularly with experience in day to day administration, maintenance, and monitoring activities. The candidate must demonstrate a strong desire to learn new technology and industry best practices. The candidate must possess the skills and ability to learn quickly, assimilate new concepts and think analytically. The candidate must be willing to augment their education with courses beyond their undergraduate degree and/or certifications in tools and technologies. The candidate is expected to be a team player. The candidate will work on the DCX program supporting our Sitecore CMS. In addition, the selected candidate will support other systems in support of DCX, such as Identity & Access Management and APIs. This will involve maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting the hardware and products that drive these products. In addition, the candidate will perform development activities, such as the creation of new forms, and assist teammates with Sitecore questions. Ideally, the candidate would also have the following qualifications: •Sitecore certification •Experience developing in .NET •Experience setting up and supporting high availability environments •Experience supporting complex enterprise environments running a mixture of technologies; including hybrid (mix of on premise and cloud) topologies •Experience integrating monitoring tools, such as Splunk or Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, into complex environments •Able to transfer knowledge to peers and subordinates •At least 2 years implementing technology to support business processes or adapting business process to take advantage of technology. •At least five years of experience and a proven ability to work with infrastructure and mission critical systems.

Responsibilities: After six months of on-the-job and self-study training, the selected candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring large corporate mainframe computers and utilizing network management tools to provide day-to-day operational support and monitoring of the IT computing infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to provide a timely response in troubleshooting and escalating alarms and alerts as well as coordinating service restoration efforts with IR Support Groups and vendors. Responsibilities: The Candidate will be responsible for leading IT development projects supporting Con Edison’s Electric Operations Energy Services organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of project planning, including project cost estimation and budgeting.
