Qualifications: System Operation, seeks a highly motivated individual to join technical support group as a System Analyst. Responsibilities: This position has direct responsibility for the continued monitoring of applications, networks and computer systems in a mission critical environment. Information Technology is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Business Systems Delivery department as a Senior System Analyst within Information Technology. The initial assignment will be the Gas and Steam Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) implementation and support. Information Technology is seeking an exceptional individual to assume a leadership role in the development and implementation of the Gas and Steam SCADA and the on-going technical enhancement and support of the application portfolio in Business System Delivery. The successful candidate must have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills. He/she must have the ability to render good business decisions. The candidate must be able to interact with all levels of management, working individually or within a team. Flexibility to work off-hours as required for deploying systems, installation of product upgrades, client support, resolution of production problems, and in response to corporate emergencies is required. The applicant must have at least 3 years of server administration and technical support experience. Candidate must possess a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline (engineering, math, science, business administration) with at least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology or an Associate’s Degree/technical certification with at least 3 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology. Candidate must have at least 3 years each in three or more of the following: SCADA, Networking and industrial communication (Ethernet, serial communications, data security methods), MS Windows Server technologies, VMWare and server virtualization. Responsibilities: The candidate will be a member of the Information Technology (IT) Gas and Steam SCADA Support team that is responsible to administer, maintain and troubleshoot Gas and Steam Control Center’s SCADA, to ensure the security, reliability of all servers and related equipment. The candidate will initiate the efforts, lead departmental projects, and serve as a liaison between vendors, corporate Information Technology personnel, and business users. This individual will work on the on-going enhancement and technical support for desktop, server, and network hardware, software and/or peripheral equipment to ensure the security, reliability of all servers and related equipment. Examples of daily support tasks include, but are not limited to: o Server builds and assign server permissions o Patch servers and execute server checklists o Perform vCenter maintenance o Perform VM host management and maintenance o Install and move servers and storage equipment o Maintain server and storage equipment and interface with support vendors This candidate will lead small-scale vendor installation of computing and infrastructure equipment and is responsible for estimating and/or identifying a need for any server or infrastructure security, upgrades, configuration, design, and implementation. Additional responsibilities include working with the Cyber Security team on evaluating potential threats to the SCADA system and automate various manual process through scripting. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) core applications are implemented on time, according to specification, and meet performance requirements. The candidates will join the AMI Application Support team supporting the new MAMS - Meter Asset Management System, the ProField Field Support or the Service Delivery Point Generator (SDPG). This position will have a focus on AMI system integrations and configurations in support of Orange & Rockland systems and practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with the successful design, development, testing, and migration to long-term support for enterprise class applications. The candidate should have experience working closely with users to design and develop system interfaces, reports, and enhancements to facilitate new or existing business processes. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Full understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and experience writing key SDLC documents is required. Senior System Analyst (2L): Requires Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Technology and three (3) years to 5 years applicable experience in a related field. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in application development and support.



The selected candidates must be able to work independently and coordinate activities across multiple locations. For the duration of the AMI project, this position will be based out of 4 Irving Place. The candidate will be required to travel to other company sites as needed. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an ability and past experience successfully working in a remote location from their primary team. Final reporting location following the AMI project is to be determined, but candidates should understand that they may be based in locations outside of 4 Irving Place as required by the final application support plan. The core AMI applications will be Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products that will need to be configured and interfaced with existing systems. The candidate should have experience developing complex system interfaces, both point-to-point and via middleware, that follow best practices. The candidate should have experience designing and validating Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and optimizing their performance. The AMI system will be responsible for processing large volumes of data with stringent performance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing enterprise testing strategies both to validate proper system function (end-to-end) and performance (stress testing). The candidate should have experience working with vendors to troubleshoot and tune application performance concerns. Design and development of new reports and metrics will be a key project activity. The candidate should have experience working with users to define, specify, and implement complex reports. The candidate should be fluent in SQL, able to craft queries, and be well versed in database fundamentals. The candidate should be able to read and understand a database schema and data dictionary. Experience supporting Smart Meter related business processes such as billing, asset lifecycle management, meter testing/support, network monitoring/control, demand response, or outage management in a utility or regulated industry is desired. Prior experience supporting Orange & Rockland Customer Information Systems, Asset Management Systems, or Work Management Systems is highly desired. For external applicants, experience with any of the following products is highly desired: Silver Spring Networks’ Utility IQ (HES), Omnetric/eMeter’s Energy IP (MDMS), TESCO’s Meter Manager (MAMS), or Smart Grid Solutions’ (formerly APEX) ProField meter installation management tool, SQL Server, SSIS Package Development, and C#.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the technical support of core AMI systems such as the AMI Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management System (MDMS) or Meter Asset Management System (MAMS). In this capacity the candidate will work directly with the respective business subject matter experts to ensure that applications are implemented per design, schedule, and budget while adhering to Information Resources policies and standards. Works closely with business groups to gather functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and detailed work estimates. Responsible for transitioning applications from project development to permanent production and will assume long-term application support responsibility following implementation. The candidate will be expected to assist the AMI Systems Manager and AMI Project Director with ensuring that Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) applications are implemented in accordance within defined scope, satisfy functional and performance requirements, and are completed in accordance with project plan and schedules. Assists in ensuring that all phases of the project are completed successfully and in full compliance with Information Resources SDLC policies and requirements. Responsible for acting as the liaison between the project team/business stakeholders and Information Technology groups such as Middleware (BizTalk), Servers and Storage, Systems Assurance, Database Administration, Quality Assurance, System Architecture and Governance, Network Operations, and interfacing Application Support Teams. The candidate will support the installation, configuration, patching and upgrade of assigned applications. The candidate will assist in the migration of application artifacts from development, to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments. The candidate will work closely with the System Infrastructure teams to configure servers, storage, and network access and support. Selected candidate will also work with business users, application developers, DBAs, and product vendors to diagnose and solve application errors and performance issues. Assists Technical Architecture, Database Administration, and Servers and Storage Operations groups with issues related to backup and restore, high availability, disaster recovery failovers, and performance issues. Duties also include opening and tracking incidents through to resolution; enforcing change management controls and guidelines; assisting customers with computer related issues, performing additional troubleshooting as necessary; facilitating communications both internal and external to the NOC; issuing reports; providing coordination and response during IT events. The candidate will be expected to provide timely response, troubleshooting and escalation of alarms and alerts and coordinate service restoration efforts with IT Support Groups and vendors. Excellent communication skills required, candidate will be issuing daily reports and advisory notifications and following established procedures.


Physical Requirements: This is a rotating position with a shift differential that covers holidays, weekends, and nights. The candidate must be willing to work overtime, be flexible with work hours, be on call, and respond to emergencies.

The Data Science Manager is responsible for applying innovative analytical and research approaches to help Con Edison tackle complex and strategically important problems. S/he will become a hub for deep insight to support and enable the entire organization to continuously develop new capabilities and solutions along the data analytics maturity curve. The successful candidate must have a minimum eight years of relevant work experience in applied quantitative and qualitative analysis. Utility industry experience preferred. S/he must have a proven track record leading the development and delivery of creative, advanced, actionable analytic products and services. Must have experience managing consulting engagements to understand business problems/opportunities, translating needs into analytic projects and applying results. The applicant must have a command of analytic methods, tools and data wrangling techniques. The candidate should have experience working closely with users to design and develop system interfaces, reports, and enhancements to facilitate new or existing business processes. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Full understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and experience writing key SDLC documents is required. Systems Specialist (2H): Requires a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in an Information Technology related with 5 years or more experience and expertise in application development and support. Also requires experience leading technology project teams with past direct supervisory experience desired.



The selected candidates will report to 4 Irving Place as needed and will be expected to travel to other company sites as needed. The core AMI applications will be Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products that will need to be configured and interfaced with existing systems. The candidate should have experience developing complex system interfaces, both point-to-point and via middleware, that follow best practices. The candidate should have experience designing and validating Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and optimizing their performance. The AMI system will be responsible for processing large volumes of data with stringent performance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing enterprise testing strategies both to validate proper system function (end-to-end) and performance (stress testing). The candidate should have experience working with vendors to troubleshoot and tune application performance concerns. Design and development of new reports and metrics will be a key project activity. The candidate should have extensive experience working with users to define, specify, and implement complex reports. The candidate should be fluent in SQL, able to craft queries, and be well versed in database fundamentals. The candidate should be able to read and understand a database schema and data dictionary. Experience supporting Smart Meter related business processes such as billing, asset lifecycle management, meter testing/support, network monitoring/control, demand response, or outage management in a utility or regulated industry is desired.. For external applicants, experience with any of the following products is highly desired: Silver Spring Networks’ Utility IQ (HES), Omnetric/eMeter’s Energy IP (MDMS), TESCO’s Meter Manager (MAMS), or Smart Grid Solutions’ (formerly APEX) ProField meter installation management tool, SQL Server, SSIS Package Development, and C#.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the technical support of core AMI systems such as the AMI Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management System (MDMS) or Meter Asset Management System (MAMS). In this capacity the candidate will work directly with the respective business subject matter experts to ensure that applications are implemented per design, schedule, and budget while adhering to Information Resources policies and standards. Responsible for transitioning applications from project development to permanent production and will assume long-term application support responsibility following implementation. The Systems Specialist will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of architecture standards for the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project. The Systems Specialist must demonstrate a high energy level, understand the importance of Commitment to Excellence and have the ability to champion and initiate change. The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years experience (7 or more preferred) in designing, implementing and operating technologies in one or more IT domains (e.g. applications, data, infrastructure, process change management). At least 3 years experience managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast pace environment with frequently changing priories to meet customer and operational needs. The candidate must have at least 3 years experience leading cross functional teams to gather requirements, design and propose solutions, and execute implementation to meet customer needs. The ability to leverage buy-in and champion change to existing processes and technical change is critical to the success of this role. Thorough understanding of Windows and Linux Operating Systems, application and database design and general troubleshooting best practices are required. Knowledge of Con Edison SDLC (Waterfall/Agile) methodologies required. Experience in evaluating new technology concepts and products preferred. Knowledge of Cyber Security concepts related to system design and implementation preferred. Experience in implementing IT systems and conducting architecture and integration services are preferred. This role will be vital to the success of the project, in addition to supporting other large-scale corporate initiatives that have a direct impact onto the AMI environment. The Systems Specialist must possess excellent facilitation, project management, communication, and technical skills. The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast pace environment with flexibility and organization is essential. The Systems Specialist will represent the AMI project in dealings with customers and vendors, and render sound business decisions as necessary. The Systems Specialist will mentor and train junior analysts to instill an environment of continuous improvement. The Systems Specialist may be required to supervise employee and contractor workforces as necessary and directed.



The candidate will be a team player who understands the critical role of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure project. Qualifications: Information Technology is the organization within Consolidated Edison responsible for the deployment, management and strategic planning of information technology solutions across the company’s regulated utilities – Con Edison Company of New York and Orange and Rockland. Information Technology is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Business Systems Delivery department as a Systems Specialist within Information Technology. The initial assignment will be the Gas and Steam Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) implementation and support. Information Technology is seeking an exceptional individual to assume a leadership role in the development and implementation of the Gas and Steam SCADA and the on-going technical enhancement and support of the application portfolio in Business System Delivery. The successful candidate must have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills. He/she must have the ability to render good business decisions. The candidate must be able to interact with all levels of management, working individually or within a team. Flexibility to work off-hours as required for deploying systems, installation of product upgrades, client support, resolution of production problems, and in response to corporate emergencies is required. The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in project management/leadership and 4-8 years of application development, vendor system implementation, and technical support experience. Candidate must possess either (a) a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline, e.g. computer science, engineering, math, science, business administration) with at least 4 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology, (b) an Associate’s Degree/technical certification or a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated discipline with at least 5 years of demonstrated work experience in Information Technology. Candidate must have experience in four or more of the following: SCADA, Networking and industrial communication (Ethernet, serial communications, data security methods), MS Windows Server technologies, VMWare and server virtualization, Oracle RDBMS or SQL Server development, Object-oriented programming such as Microsoft .NET or Java, web development using HTML, JavaScript and ASP.NET/MVC. Experience or exposure with wired and wireless communication and data security methods is a plus. Project management/leadership experience must include planning a small to medium project or system release requiring collaborative work coordination of one or more peer or customer teams, providing periodic updates to leadership and other stakeholders, and delivering a successful, value-added product or service. Candidate would preferably have vendor relationship management experience such as obtaining vendor products and services (e.g. participating in request-for-proposal creation and vendor selection), participating vendor audits or obtaining vendor product or services support. Candidate must be able to multitask: handling multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting project deadlines. Candidate is required to acquire and achieve a high-level understanding of the application portfolio, the computing infrastructures and the functions of the other IT supporting organizations.




Responsibilities: The candidate will be a member of the Information Technology (IT) Gas and Steam SCADA Support team that is responsible to administer, maintain and troubleshoot Gas and Steam Control Center’s SCADA, to ensure the security, reliability of all servers and related equipment. • Candidate will be required to work with internal business users, IT teams, and project vendors to on new vendor system implementation efforts, technical support, maintenance, and upgrade activities. • Candidate will lead system development and vendor implementation efforts, from project initiation through post implementation support. • Candidate will participate in the planning and conceptual design of entire systems and solutions, including preparation of project budget estimates that include hardware, software, and labor components. • Candidate will initiate the efforts, lead internal IT and cross-functional teams as required, engage vendors and company stakeholders, and monitor and control all project activity throughout the project life-cycle. • Candidate will have management responsibility over 2 IT employees and future contractors. • Candidate will also be responsible for working on all aspects of new applications development: Planning, Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Quality Assurance, Training, Implementation, and on-ongoing Technical Support. • Candidate will develop specifications and all documentation supporting the SDLC process. • Candidate will perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of servers and network devices and determine the correct course of action while managing customers’ expectations. Examples of daily tasks include, but are not limited to: o Server builds and assign server permissions o Patch servers and execute server checklists o Perform vCenter maintenance o Perform VM host management and maintenance o Install and move servers and storage equipment • Maintain server and storage equipment and interface with support vendors • Candidate will develop and maintain detailed cyber security statistics for SCADA devices and be responsible for working with the Cyber Security team on evaluating potential threats to the SCADA system. • Candidate will also be assigned projects to automate various manual processes through scripting. The candidate will ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for himself/herself. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Candidate must practice good cyber hygiene.


Physical Requirements: The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel within Company service territory to attend meetings and provide support as needed. The candidate must be flexible with respect to working off-hours and on-call support as required for system installations and upgrades, production support or in response to corporate emergencies. The candidate must have the ability to lift/transport all required server equipment.
