The analyst/senior analyst will be responsible for presenting and reporting information about the AMI Project to various Company parties throughout the duration of the project. The analyst/senior analyst will support AMI by tracking key business financial and operational analytics for internal and external reporting purposes. • The analyst must have a minimum of 5 years, or a senior analyst must have a minimum of 8 years, cost management, general accounting, planning and administration and budgeting experience as required, including a concentration in utility cost estimating. Intensive experience in coordinating cost estimates with Purchasing, Construction, Engineering and Legal organizations is required. The level of the analyst/senior analyst will depend on the level of experience conveyed during the interviewing process. Must have knowledge of contract and procurement management, budget forecasting, cash flow analyses and cost management. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, technology or related field is required. • Must have experience with Oracle’s Business Intelligence Application, Oracle EBS Finance and Supply Chain System, and be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Must have familiarity with purchasing and supply chain processes and contract management – processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders and contract administration; Must have working knowledge of CWEs, cost management and business finance structure



Tableau and WMS/Logica system applications preferred.

Responsibilities: The Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project Analyst is responsible for a variety of financial and cost management efforts associated with the of the AMI Project including budget forecasting and tracking, the development and updating of Current Working Estimates (CWE), procurement management, contract management, AMI project metrics and KPI tracking. The analyst will function as part of the AMI project team as a liaison across all work organizations and business groups associated with the project. Major Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Forecast, track and report key project financial analytics regarding the AMI Project to internal and external stakeholders. • Develop, monitor, and report key metrics and identify discrepancies and resolution of exceptions. • Develop and update the CWE’s throughout the project lifecycle. • Review data analytics and provide updates to key business organizations. • Perform all work and analysis associated to Cost Management’s budget forecast, rate cases, appropriations, CWE, Business Intelligence, and forecasting project spend and tracking actual spend. • Perform all work and analysis associated to Procurement Management: Oracle procurement requisitioning of services/material associated to the project and updating cash flows. • Present details at CWE meetings on financial spend. • Ensure that the financial payments made are in accordance with AMI contracts, as well as updating cash flows, managing the BPA and PO’s. • Interact with key business organizations to report necessary AMI Project information to support business decisions. • Develop and monitor project analytics reports for project monitoring and exception monitoring. • Perform data analytics in support of day-to-day operating requirements of key business areas. • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.


Physical Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. Must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required.

Qualifications: The AMI Implementation Team requires a Project Specialist to join this new organization. The individual must be self-motivated, resourceful and articulate. Responsibilities: The AMI Deployment Project Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project is implemented in accordance with applicable contract documents and Company standards. As part of the AMI project, more than 232,000 gas meters must be replaced, including tin-case meters and remediation meters. This position is the direct oversight of the Gas Meter Replacement Contractor. Gas meters will be replaced in Westchester, Manhattan, Bronx and Queens. Act as a subject matter expert to contractor supervisors and mechanics on meter replacement work, including thorough knowledge of relevant specifications. Actively communicate and reinforce compliance with same. Responsible for contractor oversight and administration, utilizing the Contractor Oversight System, organizing regularly scheduled meetings with the Contractor workforce, and the distribution and communication of Action Line items, as required. Required to be available to respond to and manage emergency situations as needed. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required. Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Project Specialist will also be cross-trained to be able to assist with the oversight of the other Meter Installation Vendor for electric meter replacements, gas module replacements, gas corrosion inspections and leak surveys

This initiative comes at a time when New York State is seeking to rethink and improve its energy future. The Con Edison AMI smart meter initiative is integral to this very effort, and it is the most influential project in the company’s history. Information Technology’s AMI Implementation Technical Architecture Team is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and innovative Senior Application Administrator to join its management team. The candidate must recognize the importance of Commitment to Excellence, be able to provide exemplary customer service, demonstrate a high energy level, be flexible, and be able to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) mission critical enterprise applications are implemented on time, according to specification, and meet performance requirements. The candidate will support assigned core AMI applications such as the AMI Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management System (MDMS) or Meter Asset Management System (MAMS). This Senior Application Administrator is a senior position and should be able to function under minimal direction. While the primary function is to ensure the systems that this candidate is responsible for are up and running, this role will require planning and preparation for modifications to system requirements (including increase capacity and performance requirements), additional systems, and future upgrades. This role requires support throughout the implementation phases of the systems involved, and also the operations and maintenance of these systems after their ‘go-live.’ This position requires an Information Technology Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years working in a related role. Also requires experience leading technology project teams and performing project management functions. Expertise in application administration and application architecture is preferred. The following are also required skills: • Thorough knowledge and experience with the configuration, implementation, and management of monitoring and performance management application technologies. • Strong troubleshooting capability, including ‘hands-on’ experience and coordination of issue resolution (including assigning appropriate resources based on skillset, ability, etc.). • Ability to conduct and/or support environment related discussions and offer guidance, feedback and evaluation support for various technical options that may be presented. • Considerable knowledge of IT development and support procedures, methods and practices. • Considerable knowledge of IT software development life cycles and implementation models. • Considerable knowledge of IT infrastructure requirements gathering techniques. • Considerable knowledge of IT Program Management techniques, such as work breakdown structures, scheduling, estimating, resource balancing and common Project Management tools. • Ability to recognize, analyze and provide solutions to difficult information technology problems. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Con Edison IT and business staff. • Strong leadership skills.



• Thorough knowledge and experience with a broad range of information technologies including multi-tiered client-server computing environments, web technologies, networking technologies, operating systems, virtualization technologies, applications programming interfaces (and other integration techniques), relational database systems and software development, migration and batch scheduling tools.

Responsibilities: •Must have hands on experience with Windows client/server in a large corporate environment. •Must have scripting experience, Dot Net, PowerShell, VB Script. •Must be able to write SQL queries, SSIS packages and SSRS •Diagnose and resolve AMI application related performance issues, and present findings, resolutions, conclusions and other relevant detail to IT senior management. •Ensure the integrity and availability of the AMI related infrastructure, and develop strategies to minimize system downtime. Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. •Perform system configuration, testing and system performance reviews. •Work with application vendor resources to identify forthcoming application patches and hotfixes. •Experience with Architecture planning, Documentation, and User administration. •Work with customer/user groups to identify bug and enhancement requests to be delivered to vendor(s). •Work with other Con Ed IT resources from groups such as application vendors, application support.

The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) core applications are implemented on time and fully supported post-implementation. The candidates will be joining the AMI Application Support team, supporting the AMI Head End System (HES) and Meter Data Management System (MDMS). This position will be responsible for designing and supporting AMI system integrations and configurations for both Con Edison and Orange & Rockland systems. This posting is for multiple openings that will be based out of either 4 Irving Place, Manhattan or Spring Valley. The ideal candidate will have experience with the successful design, development, testing, and migration to long-term support for enterprise class applications. The candidate should have experience working closely with users to design and develop system interfaces, reports, and enhancements to facilitate new or existing business processes. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Full understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and experience writing key SDLC documents is required. System Analyst (1H): Requires an Information Technology Associate’s Degree with minimum 2 years working in a related role. Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in application development and support. Senior System Analyst (2L): Requires an Information Technology related Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 3 years applicable experience in a related field. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in application development and support.



The selected candidates must be able to work independently and coordinate activities across multiple locations. This position is for openings in both Spring Valley and 4 Irving Place. Candidates may be required to report to either location on occasion, regardless of permanent reporting location. Final reporting location following the AMI project is to be determined, but candidates should understand that they may be based out of either Spring Valley or 4 Irving Place as required by the final application support plan. The core AMI applications are Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products that will need to be configured and interfaced with existing systems. The candidate should have experience developing complex system interfaces, both point-to-point and via middleware, that follow best practices. The candidate should have experience designing and validating Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and optimizing their performance. The AMI system will be responsible for processing large volumes of data with stringent performance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing enterprise testing strategies both to validate proper system function (end-to-end) and performance (stress testing). The candidate should have experience working with vendors and legacy system owners to troubleshoot system issues and tune application performance concerns. Design and development of new reports and metrics will be a key project activity. The candidate should have experience working with users to define, specify, and implement complex reports. The candidate should be fluent in SQL, able to craft queries, and be well versed in database fundamentals. The candidate should be able to read and understand a database schema and data dictionary. The candidate should be well versed in Linux/Unix user commands. Having knowledge of Microsoft’s .NET application development platform and UC4 software is plus. Experience supporting Smart Meter related business processes such as billing, asset lifecycle management, meter testing/support, network monitoring/control, demand response, or outage management in a utility or regulated industry is desired. Prior experience supporting Orange & Rockland and/or Con Edison’s Work Management or Outage Management Systems is highly desired. For external applicants, experience with any of the following products is highly desired: Silver Spring Networks’ Utility IQ, Siemens/eMeter’s Energy IP Meter Data Management System, Oracle Utilities Network Management System, or Logica’s Work Management suite.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the technical support the AMI Head End System and Meter Data Management System (MDMS) and the integration of the MDMS with internal outage management and work management systems. In this capacity the candidate will work directly with the respective business subject matter experts to ensure that applications are implemented per design, schedule, and budget while adhering to Information Resources policies and standards. Works closely with business groups to gather functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and detailed work estimates. Responsible for transitioning applications from project development to permanent production and will assume long-term application support responsibility following implementation. Assists AMI Systems Manager and AMI Project Director with ensuring that Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) applications are implemented in accordance within defined scope, satisfy functional and performance requirements, and are completed in accordance with project plan and schedules. Assists in ensuring that all phases of the project are completed successfully and in full compliance with Information Resources SDLC policies and requirements. Responsible for acting as the liaison between the project team/business stakeholders and Information Technology groups such as Middleware (BizTalk), Servers and Storage, Systems Assurance, Database Administration, Quality Assurance, System Architecture and Governance, Network Operations, and interfacing Application Support Teams. The candidate will support the installation, configuration, patching and upgrade of assigned applications. Will assist in the migration of application artifacts from development, to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments Works closely with System Infrastructure teams to configure servers, storage, and network access and support. Selected candidate will also work with business users, application developers, DBAs, and product vendors to diagnose and solve application errors and performance issues. Qualifications: Information Technology’s AMI Implementation Team is seeking dedicated, dynamic, and innovative individuals to join its management team. The candidates must recognize the importance of Commitment to Excellence, be able to provide exemplary customer service, demonstrate a high energy level, be flexible, and be able to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) core applications are implemented on time, according to specification, and meet performance requirements. The candidates will join the AMI Application Support team supporting the new MAMS - Meter Asset Management System, the ProField Field Support or the Service Delivery Point Generator (SDPG). This position will have a focus on AMI system integrations and configurations in support of Orange & Rockland systems and practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with the successful design, development, testing, and migration to long-term support for enterprise class applications. The candidate should have experience working closely with users to design and develop system interfaces, reports, and enhancements to facilitate new or existing business processes. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. Full understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and experience writing key SDLC documents is required. System Analyst (1H): Requires an Information Technology Associate’s Degree with 2 years working in a related role. Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor’s Degree and experience in application development and support. Senior System Analyst (2L): Requires an Information Technology related Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years applicable experience in a related field. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in application development and support. Systems Specialist (2H): Requires an Information Technology related Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years or more experience and expertise in application development and support. Also requires experience leading technology project teams with past direct supervisory experience desired.



The selected candidates must be able to work independently and coordinate activities across multiple locations. For the duration of the AMI project, this position will be based out of Spring Valley and candidates will be required to report to 4 Irving Place, as needed. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an ability and past experience successfully working in a remote location from their primary team. Final reporting location following the AMI project is to be determined, but candidates should understand that they may be based out of either Spring Valley or 4 Irving Place as required by the final application support plan. The core AMI applications will be Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products that will need to be configured and interfaced with existing systems. The candidate should have experience developing complex system interfaces, both point-to-point and via middleware, that follow best practices. The candidate should have experience designing and validating Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and optimizing their performance. The AMI system will be responsible for processing large volumes of data with stringent performance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing enterprise testing strategies both to validate proper system function (end-to-end) and performance (stress testing). The candidate should have experience working with vendors to troubleshoot and tune application performance concerns. Design and development of new reports and metrics will be a key project activity. The candidate should have experience working with users to define, specify, and implement complex reports. The candidate should be fluent in SQL, able to craft queries, and be well versed in database fundamentals. The candidate should be able to read and understand a database schema and data dictionary. Experience supporting Smart Meter related business processes such as billing, asset lifecycle management, meter testing/support, network monitoring/control, demand response, or outage management in a utility or regulated industry is desired. Prior experience supporting Orange & Rockland Customer Information Systems, Asset Management Systems, or Work Management Systems is highly desired. For external applicants, experience with any of the following products is highly desired: Silver Spring Networks’ Utility IQ (HES), Omnetric/eMeter’s Energy IP (MDMS), TESCO’s Meter Manager (MAMS), or Smart Grid Solutions’ (formerly APEX) ProField meter installation management tool, SQL Server, SSIS Package Development, and C#.

Responsibilities: Responsible for the technical support of core AMI systems such as the AMI Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management System (MDMS) or Meter Asset Management System (MAMS). In this capacity the candidate will work directly with the respective business subject matter experts to ensure that applications are implemented per design, schedule, and budget while adhering to Information Resources policies and standards. Works closely with business groups to gather functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and detailed work estimates. Responsible for transitioning applications from project development to permanent production and will assume long-term application support responsibility following implementation. Systems Specialists (2H) will have additional responsibilities as a team lead and should be prepared to manage the work and performance of other team members. Assists AMI Systems Manager and AMI Project Director with ensuring that Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) applications are implemented in accordance within defined scope, satisfy functional and performance requirements, and are completed in accordance with project plan and schedules. Assists in ensuring that all phases of the project are completed successfully and in full compliance with Information Resources SDLC policies and requirements. Responsible for acting as the liaison between the project team/business stakeholders and Information Technology groups such as Middleware (BizTalk), Servers and Storage, Systems Assurance, Database Administration, Quality Assurance, System Architecture and Governance, Network Operations, and interfacing Application Support Teams. The candidate will support the installation, configuration, patching and upgrade of assigned applications. Will assist in the migration of application artifacts from development, to test, and to production and disaster recovery environments Works closely with System Infrastructure teams to configure servers, storage, and network access and support. Selected candidate will also work with business users, application developers, DBAs, and product vendors to diagnose and solve application errors and performance issues. Assists Technical Architecture, Database Administration, and Servers and Storage Operations groups with issues related to backup and restore, high availability, disaster recovery failovers, and performance issues. Candidates will also work with middleware and interfacing application teams to diagnose and solve integration issues. Supports application upgrade and lifecycle planning. Responsible for writing technical documentation and conducting technical presentations to all levels of management.

Physical Requirements: The position requires a valid driver’s license. The candidate must also be willing and able to travel within the service territory as required to attend meetings and provide support, as necessary. This position will require frequent travel between Spring Valley and 4 Irving Place; the ability to commute to either location is a minimum requirement for this position.
