Qualifications: The Law Department of Con Edison is seeking a Specialist to join the Office of the Secretary to assist the attorneys and staff with the preparation of materials for Board meetings, provide logistical support for Board meetings and necessary support for corporate compliance matters, ensure maintenance of the corporate files, and provide overall operational support. A High School Diploma and 5 years related experience is required; or an Associate’s Degree and 4 years related experience or a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related experience is preferred. The successful candidate will possess: • Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting high level management • Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point) and web-based applications • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working in a team environment • High level of attention to detail and the ability to quickly and accurately process time-sensitive and confidential materials • The ability to multi-task, work independently, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality • The ability to work occasional late nights with little or no notice



• Familiarity with electronic file management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will: • Provide assistance to the attorneys and the staff in the Office of the Secretary with the day-to-day operations of the office, including, but not limited to, assisting with the preparation of minutes, agendas, routine letters, memoranda, forms, reports, and invoices for Board and Company-related materials. • Maintain and ensure organization of the Company’s corporate files, including researching, retrieving, and scanning documents in the Office of the Secretary filing system. • Assist with the Board meeting preparation, including assembly and distribution of Board materials. • Maintain the Board and Office of the Secretary calendar, arranging meetings for the Board, tracking attendance, preparing compensation statements, and arranging compensation for Board members. • Prepare and file the Company’s Section 16 forms which require the manipulation of data files in excel. • Assist in the preparation of Company proxy statements, stockholder meeting materials, annual questionnaires and other related documents. • Handle sensitive and confidential information.


Physical Requirements: • Must have a valid driver’s license • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed. • Must be able to participate in the Company’s emergency management processes and storm plans as required
