Responsibilities: The Associate Specialist ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Requests documentation from the Company’s contractors required to support Unit Price Contract payments. Ensures all required documents, paperwork, photographs, etc. are contained in payment folders before submittal to the Chief Construction Inspectors (CCI) for review and final payment. Responsible to secure, monitor and maintain payment folders from initial submittal by Inspectors and Construction Representatives (CR) through final payment and filing. Assist with the resolution of contractor exceptions to proposed payments (claims). The Associate Specialist will support the department goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). May perform other related assignments as required to support departmental needs.

Responsibilities: Field Project Management: Will review customers’ work requests and allocate resources to meet their goals. This involves understanding the abilities & skills of the workforce, as well as, the management team under his /her direction. Will ensure work is being performed productively, utilizing tracking systems, such as Microsoft Project, Engage and Excel to determine the efficiency of our work. Will meet with customers and the Project Manager of each area to ensure the department is meeting their expectations. Will be required to work closely with Planners to establish critical path schedules to ensure we meet sensitive commitment dates driven internally or externally. Must ensure that the workforce has the proper tools and material to execute their work efficiently, and must explore new initiatives to improve work processes. Construction Manager meets annually with our customers to establish budget requirements for the following year. Field Project Administration: Provide management, direction and technical advice to assigned supervisors so that work progresses according to schedule and meets engineering specifications. Secure all necessary engineering and technical support and make recommendations for vendor assistance to the Operations Manager as needed. Direct Supervisors on implementing work improvement methods and productivity improvements. Monitor professionalism of employees and ensure that programs are in place to ensure compliance to rules, regulations and procedures. Record Keeping: Assure that all time and records associated with the completion of work is accurate, by conducting self-audits. Assure that all major overhaul activities are documented and reviewed by senior management. Initiate post-outage review meetings for overhaul assessment. Environmental Health & Safety: Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected and in compliance with Company policy and government regulations.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed and for projects where he/she is providing direct coverage. Develops, implements, and manages safety, health and environmental programs for Company and/or contractor employees. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and that the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Conducts and oversees field audits of Company crews and the contractor work force. Conducts post-event meetings. Manages and prioritizes corrective actions. Assesses the effectiveness of EH&S efforts, documents deficiencies, and coordinates with field groups to aggressively pursue global corrective actions and preventive measures with the goal of protecting the worker, the general public and the environment. Develops performance standards, criteria, and goals in conjunction with the field groups. Continually measures performance and reports on status and attainment of goals. Serves as mentor, coach, and advisor to EHS Project Specialists, Senior Specialists, Specialists, and GOLD Associates. Serves as lead on work groups and committees to be a catalyst for change, ensure procedure compliance, and develop EHS programs and policies. Design, implement, drive and improve EHS programs and processes to ensure that key indicators, management letter items, and development areas and plans for improvement are met. Develop and implement new Safety Strategies, Work Process Improvements, and Resource Conservation Initiatives, which have Company-wide implications. May perform other related assignments as required.

Physical Requirements: Must pass OSHA medical and fit test for respirator use. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to climb in and out of excavations and electrical structures and climb scaffolding. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Must be willing to travel to various locations and be prepared to respond to emergencies and work weekends if needed.

(Machinist) The nature of this job requires an individual to be familiar The duties of this position are: maintenance to machinery and equipment as required, ensuring machinery runs smoothly to enhance daily production levels, evaluating performance of machinery and ordering parts for machinery. The Millwright must be able to read manuals and specifications, ensure quality workmanship and detailed precise paperwork completed. This position also requires that individual must be competent on all types of precision measuring equipment. In addition, this will require knowledge in the area of troubleshooting, testing, installation and repair. Perform basic and routine maintenance on electrical equipment up to 600 volt. Must be able to inspect machine shop equipment to find root cause of problems and recommend repairs and upgrades. Experience should be based upon hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems. Safety is a fundamental of every task. Candidate should have experience with Lock out Tag out and maintain good housekeeping practices. The successful candidate must be a strong team player but also have the ability to work independently. Machine shop experience, mechanical aptitude (five years' experience) and relevant trade certification is preferred. Candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Excellent oral, written and contract negotiation skills are required. Must have knowledge of specifications and procedures of contracts, estimating, budgets, cost management, scheduling and planning is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to effectively interact with contractors, customers and various levels of management. Must be able to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions. Must be well organized, detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects. The ability to evaluate prioritizes, and respond to rapidly changing conditions is required. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Engineering or applicable technical field (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) is preferred with a minimum of eight years construction experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Administration or other applicable technical field (Accounting, Finance) with a minimum of eight years construction or related/utility support experience is required. Must have the ability to obtain the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) certifications within a twelve month period. Must demonstrate a broad understanding of the Key performance Indicators (KPI) related to construction management. Responsibilities: The Construction Manager ensures development and implementation of processes that field inspectors enforce and demand contractors to perform in strict compliance with specifications, applicable safety rules and regulations, environmental laws, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations, and emergency response (ICS) procedures and protocols. Manages the activities of the planners responsible for the review and fielding of layouts associated with street construction work. Assist the planners with potential issues that could delay projects, i.e., permit issues and environmental impacts. Manages the process of obtaining permits with the DOT, DEP, MTA and Parks department. Ensures preparation of work package is completely accurately and timely. Develop procedures and prepare guidelines for project planning and scheduling. Identify areas of concern on projects and communicate findings to others for resolution. Offer recommendations for improvement and take a proactive approach to avoid future occurrences. Communicate Lessons Learned. Acts as liaison to Engineering and provides feedback on the constructability process during the development phase of a project. Act as liaison between Electric Operations Work Management team and Construction. Ensure administrative controls are in place to remain within the department budget. Identify ways to increase productivity. Create opportunities to develop leadership skills, team building, oral and written and communication skills in the work force. Utilize the performance management tools to ensure optimum employee performance, annual compensations and the discipline process. Support the organization and the department goals and KPI’s. Complies with the Company’s Equal Employment policies and instructions.


Physical Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to work flexible hours and travel throughout the company’s service area. Must be able to respond to emergencies and be medically approved to wear a respirator. Must be able to work in extreme hot and cold climates.

The successful candidate must have an exemplarily work ethic, possess sound logical decision making skills, demonstrate the ability to work independently, offer flexibility in handling multiple assignments and be able to meet deadlines. Must promote a positive work ethic in support of our Corporate Values and Mission, and be committed to environmental excellence and safety in the workplace. Must possess strong oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills to frequently interact with internal and external customers. Strong presentation skills are required. The ability to develop and analyze performance metrics is required. Must have knowledge and experience with retrieving data from multiple electronic sources to create and maintain databases and associated reports. Associates degree in Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related field with four years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree a HS/GED diploma with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a related field is required. Excellent computer skills are required in Microsoft Products including Access, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio and PowerPoint. Experience with Business Intelligence and analytical tools such as Tableau is also required. Experience with the use of (SQL) for querying various databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle is required. The candidate must be able to create tables and views and understand how to vet them for accuracy and their value-added applicability to the business processes they support or monitor. Responsibilities: The Specialist will ensure that safe work practices are followed and that the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and government regulations. The Specialist will query and analyze data from multiple systems and databases such as Logica, CPMS, Layout Tracking, Visions, ProjectWise, PASS, and the Summons system to develop reports to provide tools to all levels of management to aid in their decision making in various aspects of the business including compliance, cost management, the customer experience and operational excellence. Provides support to the Construction Manager in various capacities. Prepares and delivers presentations to various levels of management. Complies with EEO policies and procedures.
