Qualifications: Construction Quality Assurance department is looking to hire a highly motivated individual to join its team. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Mathematics or related discipline, with 2 years of work experience or an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related discipline, with 4 years related work experience. The candidate must demonstrate having work experience in the field of data analytics, data mining, and information extraction or experience in Quality Control/Assurance and/or IT Auditing. The candidate must possess excellent analytical skills with ability to identify and evaluate risks and trends. Computer skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and using various database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL programming skills. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, InfoPath, and Visio is preferred. Knowledge of Tableau or other visual analytics tools, such as QlikView, is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate ability to research, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions. The candidate must possess strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the Company. The candidate must also possess excellent customer focus skills, time management skills and the ability to plan and execute with minimal guidance. The individual must be well-organized with great attention to detail.



A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Data Analytics preferred.

Responsibilities: The Analyst will support quality assurance activities by using business intelligence tools to develop, analyze, and monitor metrics related to Construction, Steam, Substations, System & Transmissions Operations, and Central Engineering departments. This includes, but not limited to, process performance, financial controls, construction management activities, contract administration, and contractor oversight. The Analyst will work together with internal customers to conduct process mapping, data analysis, and develop dashboards to assist in identifying process gaps, risks, and trends. The Analyst will collect and identify information for Quality Assurance Key Performance Indicators, used to define and measure progress towards Organizational goals. The Analyst will also be responsible for providing technical solutions to improve the efficiency of the Department. This includes, but not limited to, the development of electronic checklists and workflows. The Analyst will also assist the Department in evaluating various technology solutions as needed.

Physical Requirements: Position requires a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel between various working locations. Position requires walking, standing, and climbing. The work environment consists of office and field visits. Must be physically able to wear the standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The CCI supervises the work effort of Construction Representatives and Inspectors engaged in all aspects of contract administration and inspection with an emphasis on Gas construction projects. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of gas construction (civil street work) work practices, contract specifications and procedures, scheduling, estimating methods and the ability to interpret relevant drawings and specifications. Candidate should have an understanding of electric construction (civil street work) in order to support other areas of Construction as needed. The position requires excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project. Responsibilities: The Field Operations Planner will ensure that safe work practices are followed and that the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and government regulations. Provide technical review of Gas and Electric layouts for constructability. Conduct field visits and address conditions which could result in construction delays. Act as the direct point of contact with the Work and Resource Management group. Identify and obtain any special permits required and other design submission to address bridges, railroad crossings, New York State Department of Transportation jurisdiction and environmental issues. Determine the impact that work will have on communities to allow time for preparation of plans to reduce potential problems, and recommend alternatives to engineering. Develop detailed schedules for construction and review them with Engineering, Operations and others. Finalize schedules and review the key tasks with the inspection forces and others. Assist with the resolution of field problems and communicate lessons learned. Monitor progress of work and reports status at project meetings. Support Construction Operations with tracking and achieving goals. Establish an effective line of communication with senior management of organizations being served by the group’s construction activities to ensure shared goals are met. Act as a liaison for the Company with governmental agencies and community groups as needed. Comply with the company Equal Employment policies and instructions


Physical Requirements: Position requires a valid driver’s license. Use of a personal vehicle to be used to travel to work locations within the company service territory is required. Reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through company mileage procedure. Candidates must have the willingness and flexibility to cope with the unique challenges that accompany every construction project. The selected candidates must be familiar with safety and environmental policies and procedures, possess good oral and written communication skills, and possess the ability to utilize computer applications. Selected candidates must have a H.S. Diploma or GED and demonstrate five (5) years construction experience.



Additional:

Candidates with a Bachelor's in Engineering, Environmental, Architecture, Computer Science or Construction Management shall be considered.

Candidates with a technical Associate's degree and two years of full time work experience in an Engineering, Environmental, Architecture, Computer Science or Construction Management role shall be considered.

The work schedule for this position maybe Tuesday to Saturday and is subject to change based on departmental needs. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 2 years relevant experience, An Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Survey with 3 years of experience as a surveyor or a HS/GED Diploma with 6 years of experience as a surveyor is required. Must have experience in the construction of Electric and/or Gas facilities including related safety and environmental criteria. Requires a thorough knowledge of survey practices and technology including the application of engineering standards and specifications to develop layouts and drawings. Supervisory experience is preferred. Working knowledge of GIS is a plus

Responsibilities: The Operating Supervisor ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environmental is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Supervises and coordinates the activities of Survey personnel providing survey services for Electric, Gas, Construction Operations, Public Improvement and Substations. Ensures that Company facilities are located in an accurate, efficient manner and in compliance with all specifications and standards. Supervises the development of layouts and drawings using Autocad and Project Wise. Prepares and procures easements, and NYCDOT sewer connection permits. Supports the Law and Real Estate Departments by researching land titles and easements. Meets with Company field personnel, Engineering Customers, City and State agencies to resolve situations. Researches, test, and implement new equipment, or techniques that improve quality and reduce costs. Reviews completed work to ensure compliance to survey specifications. Works to achieve the organization and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Complies with the Company’s EEO policies and instructions.

Physical Requirements: This position requires walking, standing, and climbing. May be required to work various schedules, including weekend and off hours. Must be able to work in extreme hot and cold climates, and respond to emergencies when necessary. Must be medically approved to wear a half face respirator. Position requires a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle to travel between work locations.Use of personal vehicle to be reimbursed through the company mileage program.

Qualifications: For this position, a two-year technical degree is required or must have a High School Diploma (or GED) and minimum 2 year equivalent work experience. Civil Technology or related disciplines is preferred. Successful candidates will have the ability to read and interpret maps and drawings and be capable of operating various survey instruments (total stations, levels, M-scopes, etc.). Candidates should also have competency in the use of Auto-cad in order to generate various types of drawings.



Additional:

Survey Technicians assist Surveyors with mathematical computations and field sketches. Applicants selected for this position must have strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with other departments, including various city and state agencies relative to land records, easment grants, and topographical data. Applicants must have the ability to learn advanced survey and mapping software.
