Responsibilities: The Associate Specialist works with field personnel and performs the input and close-out of WRM work requests of Public Improvement managed work. Manages the material ordering requirements for Public Improvement project field activities, and performs special assignments and project related tasks, as required. Manages the work flow of contractor invoices, including logging, tracking, and reviewing inspector field data records and preparing payment folders, and follow-ups. Assists in resolving contractor payment disputes and other bill reconciliations. Ensures that all required documents, paperwork, photographs, etc. are contained in bill payment folders in preparation of submittal to the Chief Construction Inspectors (CCI) for review. The Associate Specialist works in support of the department’s goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy’s and government regulations, and complies with the Company's Equal Employment policy and instructions.


Physical Requirements: Position requires a valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle to travel to various company and field locations, as required. Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) during field visits.

Responsibilities: The Chief Construction Inspector will supervise Construction Representatives / Inspectors to ensure that company facilities are properly installed, supported and maintained during the execution of work and in accordance with engineering specifications. The CCI ensures that safe work practices are followed and that the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and government regulations. Comply with the company’s Equal Employment policy and instructions including outside contractors, and government agencies. Conducts field inspections and resolves and corrects technical and field and/or contract issues. Monitors project cost and provides timely and accurate data and documentation for contractor payments. Maintains accurate records, logbooks, and provides data for monthly accruals, schedules, and tracks change work orders. Negotiates with contractors and customers to reach fair resolutions. Maintains open communication with peers and managers, and advises them of potential problems, extras, damages, injuries, or incidents with either regulatory officials or the public.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences with at least 3 years of construction work experience is required, preferable in the areas of Building Renovation, Demolition, Hazardous Waste Management and/or Facilities and Buildings construction. The candidate must also demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of all phases of construction. The candidate must have the ability to monitor job progress via project schedules and expenditures of ongoing projects. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.



Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with at least 3 years of construction work is preferred. General knowledge of System & Transmission Operations, Facilities, Substation and Generation Construction is preferred. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project as well as other software applications needed to track Construction projects. Experience as manager or supervisor that managed day to day operations is preferred. Note: Candidate will be subject to the rotational policy set in Central Construction.

Responsibilities: The Project Specialist (PS) ensures that safe work practices are followed and that the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and government regulations. Will review construction documents, prepare special conditions, conduct contractor field visits for new bid packages and administer meeting minutes and clarifications to purchasing. The PS coordinates activities between the Chief Construction Inspector (CCI), Construction Inspectors and contractors. Ensures quality of construction is delivered in the field by spot checking projects as needed. Serves as the liaison between support organizations and customers to resolve project issues, monitor expenditures, CWE’s, accruals, control budgets costs, and ensure contract documents such as plans, specifications and eHasp are being adhered to. Track interprets and communicates the project schedule to various levels of management and executives. Maintains internal and external department communication to ensure timely completion of all projects and ensures that we are providing a high level of customer service. Prepares and conducts presentations on projects to executives, management and union personnel. The PS will identify, plan, develop, and implement new ideas to improve process flow, reduce cost, reduce operation risk, and enhance customer service reliability. Reviews contractor claims and change orders. Provides field support and participates in negotiations with contractors at the request of the Construction Manager. Assists Construction Manager with reporting of significant activities on construction projects and also assists with evaluation of audit reports and implementation of recommendations. The candidate will ensure that the department meets the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Conducts field audits of Company crews and the contractor work force, attends post event meetings, and seeks immediate corrective actions. Ensure that all field group documentation, including but not limited to permits, licenses, certificates, reports and inspection records are submitted and/or maintained in a time, complete and accurate accessible manner as required by government regulations and the Company policies and procedures. Development performance standards, criteria and goal in conjunction with the field groups, continually measures performance, and reports on status of attainment of goals. Assumes Emergency Management roles and responsibilities to support the Company’s Coast Storm Plan. Reduce EH&S Notices of Violations. Develop and implement new Safety Strategies, Work Process Improvements, and Resource Conservation Initiative; conduct EHS&S Self Assessments. The selected candidate would be responsible for tracking daily SHIMs entries and maintaining multiple EHS data spreadsheets and safety information folders. EMIS coordinator responsible for spill closures; liaison with Law and Workers’ Compensation resolving open cases; procurement coordinator for Construction safety equipment. Conduct accident and injury reviews; coordinate multiple Accident Review Committee meetings for Company and contractors. Prepare for the Vice President detailed safety statistics, incident reviews, HPI talking points for weekly safety calls an meetings. Prepare multiple Business and Safety meeting presentations. Author and communication Situation Summaries, Safety Focuses and Spotlights on Safety communications. Mechanical experience and knowledge should include but not limited to: power plant or equivalent components (boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, motors, piping systems, etc.), welding (GTAW, TIG, SMAW) and rigging. Candidates should have experience and knowledge related to reading and interpreting drawings and engineering prints. Project management experience is preferred. Good computer skills are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and work management systems are preferred.

Responsibilities: Will supervise weekly personnel around the system and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with procedures that govern the work. On a daily basis the supervisor is responsible for the safety of his or her direct reports and must monitor quality, productivity and provide feedback that will help individuals progress in their title.
