Qualifications: The Law Department’s Legal Technology and Information Governance group is seeking an individual who has experience with document scanning processes and procedures including validation of accurate data entry in a matter management system, electronic filing in a document management system, and filing, archiving and disposal of paper documents after processing. The position requires 2+ years of experience in providing document management support in a legal office. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Must be proficient with MS Office. Experience with matter management systems, document management systems, document scanning systems preferred. Experience with document/file management and archiving in law office setting preferred. BA/BS degree preferred.




Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for high volume scanning of incoming and existing paper documents, preparing files and documents for scanning, validating files for quality and accuracy after being processed through document scanning software, including the ability to complete processes within specified time limits. The position will require analyzing incoming legal documents for processing and routing in accordance with established protocols, as well as validating accurate data entry of motions, court appearances and other information by scanning software into matter management and document management systems. The candidate will also manage filing, archiving and disposal of paper documents within and outside of the electronic process. The candidate will be required to learn and become proficient in the department’s document scanning software, matter management and document management systems. Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
