Qualifications: Construction Services is seeking a dedicated professional to join its Gas Operations & Special Projects team to share in our goal to deliver excellent customer service and who recognizes the importance of personal responsibility. The successful candidate must understand the vital importance of teamwork, communication and promote a positive work ethic in support of our corporate Values and Mission. Must be highly motivated, well organized, detail-oriented and flexible to handle multiple work assignments, changing priorities, and able to meet deadlines. Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment and render sound business decisions. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with customers, union personnel, and various levels of management are required.



To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess at minimum a High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of work experience in a natural gas related field or, a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline with 2 years relevant experience and knowledge is required. Experience and knowledge in gas construction, distribution or gas engineering is preferred. Excellent computer skills are required Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and work management systems is required. Chosen employees from the union that are promoted must complete the TEAM program. All applicants must fulfill the requirements of the Operator Qualification for a Gas Construction Supervisor within one year of starting in the position.

Responsibilities: Will direct and supervise field forces performing the physical installation, energizing, removal, repair and replacement of gas mains and services in compliance with operating procedures, environmental laws and PSC guidelines. Ensure timely completion of system repairs to improve productivity and work practices/procedures. Will supervise field personnel in work activities, coach, schedule, train, and have appropriate safety discussions. Will ensure that all personnel, tools and material are safely and effectively utilized and the use of Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools is incorporated in daily activities. Ensure that all Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) work practices are followed and work is done in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Communicate and advise on work rule compliance, good housekeeping and work area protection practices for equipment and work areas. The supervisor is also responsible for conducting On the Job training (OJT), effective job briefings and documented job site safety exchanges. Will review field employees’ reports to ensure pertinent documentation is maintained. Will complete all associated paperwork prior to the end of their shift. Will certify, account for and approve expenditures for labor, material, supplies and equipment within prescribed limits. Will monitor compliance with Company policies and procedures e.g., Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Substance Abuse, Discipline, Security, Productivity, Environmental Instructions and the Standards of Business Conduct. Will also coordinate and ensure availability and timely delivery of materials, supplies and equipment. The selected candidate must be able to work scheduled and emergency shifts, as needed.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills and able to effectively interact with customers, union personnel, and various levels of management.



To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a minimum High School Diploma and 5 years’ is required or a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years’ experience in maintaining / installing electrical equipment is required. Electrical experience and knowledge should include: electrical theory, conduit installation, cable installation, cable terminations, circuit breaker repair, electrical equipment installation and rigging. The candidate must have extensive experience and knowledge of electrical construction work associated with Generating Stations and Substations facilities. The individual must possess a thorough knowledge and experience and demonstrate a strong understanding of the electrical specifications and procedures, including the General Instructions Governing Work on System Electrical Equipment (Rule Book) related to this work environment. Also, the candidate must have the ability to read and interpret electrical layouts and engineering drawings. Good computer skills are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and work management systems is preferred.

On a daily basis the supervisor is responsible for the safety of his or her direct reports and must monitor quality, productivity and provide feedback that will help individuals progress in their title. Must ensure that the Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools are incorporated into daily work activities. Ensures that all work is being performed in an effective and efficient manner. The supervisor is also responsible for conducting On the Job training (OJT), effective job briefings, documented safety inspections and ensures that all personnel attend training as required.
